I wouldn't leave Dave first thing to do is speake to the union let them know your concerns then put it in writing and give it to your hr manager then thay have 7 days to act on it,do you have training cards where you work if so thay will be pulled and then looked at and see who and when he was signed off to use certain tools and if the hr are any good he be called in and asked to talk his way through the job if thay still think he good for the job fine let him fall on his ass do not carry him and be upfront and tell him your not doing it when it's hits the fan you got clean hands as your letter is on record you think he can't do the job and you told him just do your job mate

  16. Jeff will know but it may be the oil pick-up screen is getting clogged
  17. You're going to have to drop the lower crossmember in order to get the clearance to get the pan around the pickup. Also you will have to remove some brackets on the engine. I could be wrong but I know it's not as simple as unbolting it because the crossmember and steering rack run directly under the pan.your going to have to use a crossmember to hold the engine up too
  18. 10 / 40 semi synthetic, any good brand, Castrol Magnetec is a popular one, do not use fully synthetic as its a little thin for ageing oil seals and is more expensive than you need to pay out. 75w90 gear box oil and for the diff when you do the diff undo the filler bolt 1st as that can be a cow to undo
