  1. looks like something I'll let Jeff sort out. I'm wondering if its a faulty cat sensor
  2. Basically the catalytic converter warning light came on just for a few seconds whilst driving the motorway earlier. from a quick research I assume it could be a faulty o2 sensor? dumping unburnt fuel down the exhaust the light is off now and hasn't came back on but I have to assume it will come back eventually. question is if it were to come down to replacing the O2 sensors, how difficult is this job? also what else could cause the warning light to come on? when the light was on I did feel a minor difference in acceleration, but nothing major. Thanks Sascha
  3. I can't see why not
  4. Just a quick help needed, I just need to know the stock Z32 wheel stud length if someone knows doesn't have to be the full length from behind the hub, just the length of the exposed/external part of the stud on which the wheel is mounted, will save me pulling the car out and jacking it up etc Thanks :)
  5. Welcome to the club, there is one here in the classified section, this is pretty close to your required spec http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?167598-Z32-SWB-TT-Manual-JDM
  6. or you can use this http://www.rhdjapan.com/tomei-hicas-lock-14034 this will lock the HICAS and will turn the system off electronically, including the light
  7. I can't say about Bride's cause mine are Recaro my Recaro side mounts lined up perfectly on top of the Recaro base frame. you will need sidemounts regardless if they fit on top of the base mount or not, so might aswell get the Bride side mounts and see if it works. if they don't work then you need a bracket making which will act as an adapter and will sandwich between the side mounts and the base mount... only problem with that is they might raise the seat quite high, but I think Bride base frames are very low anyway so might be ok.
  8. I fitted Recaro SPG in my Z32 which is a fixed bucket, the seat is bolted to the side mounts and side mounts are bolted to the base frame/rails however my base frame/rails are by Recaro and are Z32 specific model
  9. Thats defo been done for heel-and-toe, to be exact it's been done so you can use the ball of your foot for braking and other side of your foot for bliping the accelerator accelerator has been bent so it lines up with the modified/bent brake pedal diagonally I've seen it before, usually done by drivers with small feet... i.e Japanese people are quite little, so would explain this being done before car came into the country
  10. Well there has been sorta new development, started the car up and had a look and the injector rail line DOES appear to be leaking :( couldn't get the best view but here's the diagram to give you guys an idea Point-1 appears clearly wet, hose looks wet too, now confusing part is Point-2, I am not 100% sure but I think I may saw a drip from Point-2 but not sure, it could be that fuel from Point-1 travelled to the end of Point-2 and dripped. 11. Sounds like a good trick Brian, now lets hope the screwdriver will reach there, as Vodkashots mentioned about jamming the throttle open might create some room. I would love to see the Z32's manufacturing process like that discovery show "How Its Made"... shocking how they managed to cramp so much in so little space, but I'm sure there is worse out there
  12. I didn't wedge the throttle open, I'll try it if I notice it leaking, at the minute it seems ok
  13. Vodkashots. I have no idea how you managed to change that hose without removing the plenum lol, I can't get a screwdriver in there to tighten the clips let alone remove and put a new one on, I wonder if you have any fingers left at all lol
