  1. So today a small but nonetheless important job ! Rattling screws on the kick plates. Once again Nissan stagger me with the price of a little plastic clip to hold a screw in, £2.43+vat EACH  soooo I found a company on EBay that when I put the OEM code in did an alternative at a greatly reduced price £2.69 for 10 including delivery!! Now I was sceptical that they would do the job but I took a punt and ordered them yesterday. They turned up this morning ! Wow someone who actually knows how to sell goods on EBay! Anyway here’s a couple of pics, one of the new clip and one of a nice tight kick plate !
  2. Happy Birthday for the 14th October 2013 !! If you’d have been born on the 29th February this wouldn’t seem so funny :happybday::lol::lol::lol:
  3. Have you not seen the “top secret” new 2017 300ZX Nissan are working on ???
  4. Take it steady, it’s a bit moist on the roads. Say hello to Jim for me and enjoy that car on the way home !!
  5. Hi Dan, I’m afraid I have to echo what others people say here, Adrian Flux are too expensive. I’ve tried with several cars and you are through the roof with your quotes, don’t get me wrong there are many insurance companies who are tw*ts about cost but that’s insurance companies for you, I have to fight and argue and moan and whinge any time one of my vehicles needs insurance, the fact I’m charged 12% extra which is handed straight over to the government winds me right up, and it’s up to the companies whether they suck it up or charge it on to the customer, oh and they do send that tax on to the customer ! Thanks for that, don’t I pay enough tax on fuel, road fund license and wear and tear on my car driving on what can only be described as a third world countries bombed airstrip. I personally hate insurance companies and their bulls**t “your not familiar with the car” or “ the reason your policy has increased is because of uninsured drivers” or “unfortunately due to terrorism we have to charge more” funny how the shareholders are still living the life of Riley isn’t it !! Sorry this is NOT directed at you Dan, just the deceit that is insurance in general. Rant over for now
  6. Cheers Ian, I am trying to get her back up to a decent motor, fitted a new light relay today courtesy of an Italian ebayer who sold me a brand new one in the packet for £20 delivered, so much better than Nissan who wanted £38+vat !! I mean seriously Nissan it’s just a relay, it fits pretty much all Nissans from the 80,s and 90,s including a fork lift truck ! Needless to say it’s nice to know when I switch full beams on I’m not left holding my todger in the dark !:laugh:
  7. Yeah I didn’t push mine beyond 70mph..... hahahahahah who am I kidding, in my defence I had no idea how fast I was going, I was too busy chasing the white skyline that went past me, so maybe 70 and a half :innocent:
  8. Sorry I'm so out of touch on how to upload photos on the forum but this is my feeble attempt, the wiper blades done
  9. When you next get a chance.... have a look just under your downpipes on the underside just towards the bulkhead on the lefthand side and you will see "Ady waz ear" scrawled in blue pen !! NAH just kidding mate, I saw it in there when Jim was finishing with mine, the drive back to Cheltenham in mine was awesome (so enjoy your run home) !! The only bit that spoiled it for me was my tyres unfortunately were flatspotted from being sat for 2 years on my drive doing nothing, all new tyres now and smoooooooth as silk. Massive thanks again to professor Jim and his magic bag of spanners :thumbup1:
  10. Hi Jeff, we are all flat earthers are we not ? We all live on a "oblate Spheroid". Its only one part in three hundred due to the fluidity and mass of the elements that make our world.:biggrin::yes: "I know science me !!"
  11. Painted my wiper blades too. Found out my rear wiper arm is now welded to the spindle !! That special weld which involves oxidation of aluminium and zinc plated metal along with a good 22 years of weather ! Mmmmm nice !! Just covered the entire car and sprayed it in situ. sorry no pics yet as I'm on the laptop and the pics are on the iPhone and I haven't uploaded to dropbox yet.
  12. Mine had shrunk and disconnected itself inside the car behind the fuse box, I managed to somehow get behind the fuse box after unscrewing it all, put some Evo brown rubber glue on the ends, pushed them back together with long nose pliers and a lot of swearing and tested it after an hour, all good so put everything back ☺️
  13. No Jeff belts tight as in retracts, feel resistance when wearing and if I jerk it (no rude comments) it will lock but I don’t hear a solenoid when the belt is placed into the latch where as I do with passenger side. Just light on the dash and it’s all I can see now as it glares at me.
  14. Thanks for that Jeff, so I have multiple failures then, switch on belt (it’s still clicks I can hear it and see it moving, white plastic sort of rocker) and the belt tightener (even though it doesn’t hang loose. I’m just trying to figure out why I hear the the clicking of a solenoid on the passenger side belt roller inside the panel and not on the drivers side ??
