  1. Thanks Jeff, That is exactly the information I needed. Funny you should say that Sarge cos I am actually in talks with John at the moment. should be picking it up later this month. Thanks again to you all. Mike...
  2. The Chavs are already on their way to being Zed owners. I'm not one, but I bet there are a couple on this board already. On another note, My mate was driving around in a Mk1 Golf that had been properly modded. It had a supercharged engine from a corrado in it, but it had been bored out to 2 litre. This thing was p1ssing all over motorbikes! I don't know if there are many Zeds out there with that kind of power/weight ratio...
  3. I have a NA and I love it. It is quick and exciting, the only problem is that I want more power now. I'm toying with the idea of Nitrous...
  4. Can anyone else help? Jeff? Ryan?
  5. I have had a look and cannot find the answer to this. Is there any difference between compressors for NA/Turbo, 2+2/SWB, Auto/Manual, Jap/UK? Anybody know? Thanks, Mike...
  6. I am probably completely wrong but I thought HICAS would actually reduce drifting... Can anybody shed a little more light?
  7. MTL, how long until I get my sticker? Is this a normal delay? THanks, Mike...

Tints look great on black Zeds. it is my personal opinion that a light tint gives a much better look...
  9. My missus asked me last night if I thought the Zed was more beautiful than her. she did not like the answer I gave her... She wont be asking that question again!
  10. I did really scratch up the stainless before painting, which I think will help. I know nothing was going to stay on the shiny metal the way it was. when the passenger side peels off I will do it properly, I promise
  11. Just to get you started in June's Banzai Magazine there is an 800bhp zed. http://www.banzaimagazine.com/past-issues.htm "SECRET AGENT - Working undercover in the Scottish Highlands, this 300ZX blends into the crowd but packs an 800bhp punch"
  12. I saw a SWB on the web a while back, it was in a magazine shoot. The owner had gone all out on it, including NOS. he claimed over 700BHP! Now I'm desperately trying to find the article...
  13. Well Plasti-Kote seems to do the job just fine. It was easy to do, I didn't even prime the bare metal and it still gave an excellent finish. certainly cheaper than using the proper Nissan part. This could go in the FAQs.
  14. I always quite liked those Poopras but when you put it next to a Zed it looks tired and old. Just my opinion...
  15. My Auto NA is not the greatest from a standing start so it is nice to beat anyone, but the majority of BMW drivers have their head up the @rses. even the ones with 1.6 engines. The fools, will they ever learn?
  16. Obviously if I had a money pit like Scrooge McDuck I would go down this route but it sounds a little too pricey. This sounds like the way to go, I'm off to find some Plasti-Kote. Thanks again chaps. Mike...
  17. How do I fix the peeling on my A-frames (I think that's what it is called) Anyway you will see from the photo what I mean. Thanks, Mike...
  18. :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper: I've only got a NA (Auto) and I'm not much of a boy-racer, so I don't get many opportunities to race people at traffic lights. but yesterday evening I had to stop for a pedestrian crossing, I glanced over to my right and saw that someone had pulled up next to me, I didn't notice what make of car it was at the time, but I did flick the POWER switch on! The lights turn amber and we're off, we were neck and neck for the first couple of seconds (I presume this is because he had a manual) but then I pulled clear of him no worries. After we had both slowed down again for speed cameras he sped away from me dangerously and went around a roundabout on 2 wheels. OK it was only a 320i but it was on a 2004 plate. He must have been upset that his £16k worth of car had been beaten by a battered 13 year old car! I'm still smiling now. :nana2:
  19. Thanks for the swift response gents. I am off to the trader section. Cheers.
  20. Hello everybody, I have warped discs and I am planning on fitting new discs and pads next week. The problem is I think the caliper on the front left is slightly seized. what is the best option here? should I be looking at rebuilding the caliper? Or is there a fairly cheap aftermarket caliper that I can bolt on? Thanks in advance. Mike...
  21. Plastic Rads, I can't imagine they last too long!
  22. Yes Dave, mine is the black one on a K plate. Often found in sainsbury's car park on a saturday for the weekly shopping trip. Don't I sound domesticated! Drop me a line if you want to hook up. it would be good to have a nose around someone else's Zed. Mike...
  23. Well I've learnt something today. I thought mine was a 93 model, but the seatbelts are on the door. My car has now got a year older :headvswal
  24. Hey Robert, I have a clifford on mine and it has automatically turned itself onto silent arming a while ago. I stopped worrying about that. With regards to the door locking, I had the same problem on mine, I could use the key and the central locking worked but the keyfob wouldn't work. you could have to replace the motor that links the keyfob to the central locking (about £10). I hope this helps. Mike...
  25. Hi Dave, Nice to see another Zed in St Albans. I'm keen to find a decent garage myself. I do know a guy in queensbury who knows his way around these cars, but it is still a pain in the backside to leave my car with him. If you find a decent garage near here, please let us all know. Thanks, Mike... P.S. send me a private mail if you want to meet up.
