Well its your shout Steve. All my personal concerns are that if its going to be a free for all then we might as well have kept the JAE as the 300ZX annual meeting as a few members seem quite put out that it has been moved. Myself, I think that billing will make a change as I have never been there before.The fact that this thread might go on and on is the normal on this site as you know. My insurance company took my word for it with mine. I havent got the cert and to be honest in the secondhand car market how can they expect everyone to have one? Take a video of someone trying to nick the car and send it to them. :p

To keep the unemployed and lower wage bracket people off the road initially. The next move would then be to introduce a fee for the older cars (almost done already) so then people who can afford a new car and have a classic will still be allowed to run the classic. After that all the poorer folks would be forced to use public transport which would be charged by deduction from their dole money or wages. A couple of months and 45 posts Pete isnt really giving it a fair crack of the whip mate? Sometimes things are done that can not be explained. We all hope that someday in the future all will be explained. until then we just have to put up with things as they are. :tongue:

:rofl: Thanks mate. I have noticed that a lot more people turn to take a gander at the car since I have done the two tone thing. I am pleased with it too. just a few more niggly bits to do and it should be ready for paint. Same colour scheme but with a brighter more candy like red on the bottom. :cool:

No Si :smash: . The reason I put them on is because the bonnet has a bit of a raise at the very front of it and I was worried that at speed it might lift as its only Fibreglass I thought it might give way and flap up over the windsrceen and we dont wanna do that do we. :cool:

The backing washer/plate will make the overal size quite large twice the size and I thought it would just become the most eye catching feature and I didnt want that? So I drilled the hole to the exact size of the lock barrel and put it in alone as it has a lip of about 7-8mm. The biggest problem is the angle of the lock base. It needs a fair bit of calculating before you drill the holes mate. So be careful with that lovely bonnet of yours before you start making holes. LOL. ATB Vini

Sorry Ian. My appologies mate. I totally forgot to post the picture. This is as far as I have got so far but its fitted without the backing washer as I think they are a bit big. I am not sure but I might try one to see. I like the look of just the lock fitted? I havent had much time to set the lock base up yet. Again sorry for the long wait.

YES! I had megga problems Rich'. I kept loosing the transmition when it rained. I programed recordings and they never did record. I complained and they told me to monitor it for 6 weeks and report back. I did this and was told I would have to pay £60 call out plus any repair bill as I had, had the box for more than 12 months. It was 3 weeks over the year. I was conned and so I moaned and they said they had no record of me phoning before???? Basically called me a liar so we went to Virgin media (NTL then). Ok we dont get Sky One but we do get TV on demand and thats a great thing and its HD. All this with free installation and you rent the box not own it so if it goes wrong at any time in the future you get it fixed for free. It does lock up now and then but these are teething problems and its only for about 20 seconds worst way. Well worth considering. IMO. Oh yeah! its got 80 hrs recording to hard drive too.

I didnt need to take a test to find that out. :rofl:
