it was fun Phil. I enjoyed that job use a good heat gun and a sturdy knife to remover the galss. Dont remove the plastic bond stuff. When you put them back together just press the glass on and re-heat it around the edge and they will glue and seal again mate.

LOL. Robotic slugs. :) They are things that you are supposed to put on the edge of your door to stop you bashing it on things. But I saw them and thought they will do for a little job in the future. when I was doing the Head lights I touched the paint and it smudged and looked bloody horrible. I didnt want to start all over again and sat for a while thinking what to do. BANG then it hit me. I can use the robotic slugs and hey presto. It would have looked even worse with just one so I positioned them to sort of go with the flow. If you know what I mean? :duffer:

I appreciate your input Si but what you must remember is that I didnt do them for you I did them for me. I like them and so does everyone who has seen them. (So Far). I think I would probably get hit by a train if I did so not me.

I took mine apart. I was looking at '99 spec but they are £1200 + at lukes. Cant justify spending that. So I will do the HID thing but for now I sprayed them with Platicote bright silver metalic and they look OK. They seem to be holding up aswell which was one of my fears that they would fade. The inserts are there to throw the light about a bit and do the job quite well. One of my better ideas.

I'll tell you another quick fix. especially if you was going to a meet or something ...WD40 is spot on and it shines like mad. But only lasts for a few hours. Or 3 in 1 oil.

I have always loved me grub. Have you ever mixed two unlikely foods or dishes to make something really nice that otherwise would sound horrible. Example: Milk Chocolate and Cheddar Chesse. Its really quite nice.

Sometimes if you have one and it dont work its because the little box (relay/transformer thing) has gone that it plugs into.

Any motorist shop sells it. You can get it in a spary can but it isnt as good as in a tin where you apply it with a spong or rag.

Fookin hell thats expensive. I need to do mine. If you are going to remove them then get some tyre cleaner then back to black of tyre black and do like me and save yourself a couple hundered quid.
