Its been a favourite seaside resort of mine all my life as well as Leysdown. It is rather small compared to Blackpool or GT Yarmouth but similar. It does have plenty of chavs in hot hatches and a heavy police presence because of that. There is a fun fair albeit limited. The grub is good and the place does definately have a Cockney aire about it. The pubs are like london boozers on the whole the people are friendly until they get tanked up then they mostly want to fight each other. But yes a great place to visit. :D

  11. Can you really be bothered to read this? Lately my injured arm has been getting worse. As a result I am struggling to ride my bike as it causes too much pain. (poor sod). Anyway as its less than a year old and dont get ridden I need to sell it and have done with it. Sad but necessary. Anyway, Its on finance with black horse not HP but it still shows on the HPI register. I phoned them and asked if I could sell it. They said yes because it isnt HP but I would have to pay up with them. Ok thats fair. I told them my circumstances and they listened. But! they wont shift it off the HPI until I have paid them. there is still £3600 owing and I would only get about £3000 for it. NP they said I could still owe them and they would remove it from the register having been paid that much off. The problem is this I said. I cant sell it to pay you if its on the HPI. No she said all you need to do is promise the buyer that you will pay us and then when they pay you, you pay us. ??? Yeah OK I bet they will trust me seeing as I am an honest man  Is this what people refer to as a viscious circle? She then went on to say that I should do it properly and not try to aviod paying them. "Well" I said. Isnt that what I am trying to do? it just dosent make any sense. They have no right to re-possess she told me that on the phone. So why then wont you remove it from the HPI. Because its policy? Does my head in. I cant win. So its got to remain outside the house rotting away until I have paid or found someone to trust me. I aint asking just telling. :D

  17. There is nothing we could do then and there is nothing we could do now. :headvswal The whole business of control has many guises. Slowly Slowly catchy monkey, Full on attack, get your confidence and then do the total opposite. The govenment have always been the same its just that they take a little bit more each time. George Orwell wrote the novel 1984 which basically predicted a police state where all humans had no rights to individuality. A wonderful thing for any govenment. He's real name was ERIC BLAIR...... :D
  18. Oh alright then but can I have a ride in your car mister............

  22. I think the door mounted seat belts are a stupid invention. Its messy and a pain in the neck :D I would much prefer they were on the pillar like proper cars have. :D As for them being any more dangerous than pillar mounted I would think not but some valid points have been made here. Just like what legrath said. I hadnt had the car long and my wife was sat in the passenger seat when my mate opened the door and it scuffed her neck. She wasnt injured but there was a red mark on her neck for a few hours. Which prooves the fact that it could do damage with the right amount of force. Im just glad they aint lambo doors. I might have to get married again?
  23. Thats really good.... I bought both books called "the z car story" which are both shown on this link: The Z car story They excellent. 4th and 7th down the list. Very informative.
