Thats what he said. The nissan 300zx was up graded (from the z31) and eventually they added a turbo. Or words to that effect. But they acctually added 2 turbos. He got it wrong and he kept calling the company "NEESARN" he was an english bloke? Mind you he kept saying it was a 300 zee x. So he was a bit of a ponce. LOL. :)

Great idea except (IMHO) if you have it on a track day or similar it takes away the reason for having a 300ZX meeting as everyones going to be more interested in whats going on rather than just a big ol drink and get together for the club? If you dont mind me saying? :cool:

Mine goes bangin all the way over and a lot further if there was any further. I have some indiglo clocks that have 14 on them but I presume thats a load of B';lox because its the same needle and gauge as it was before. But that goes all the way past the +14. So I would guess that mine is running higher boost?

Believe me! A lot of laws have been so slowly introduced they have hardly been noticed. Years ago there was a debate to introduce type approval on motorcycles in this country. It was put to the vote and the MCN got up a great big campain against it. As quick as it was suggested it was forgotten. Now my new Bike has it stamped on the log book and my new MG ZT had the same. Its got a type approval number. I dont think its acctually fully working in this country but the implications are that if a vehicle is manufactered with a certain tyre, exhaust or any part then to pass the MOT it must have that brand on the vehicle and if it hasnt then you have to pay what is basically a fine to keep it on the road? Now I might be wrong but I think this is a similar thing that they suffer in Japan and thats why we get such good cars here because it is so un economical to keep them in service over there after 5 years or so. It will come. They have been trying for years to do away with the custom bike scene.

In answer to that Si. I have a photo (no photoshopping) of my speedo and rev clock and at 290 KPH the rev clock is showing a needles width over the 6000 rev mark. OK speedo error and all that but hey when you are going fast you just dont have time to use a calculator. Now with a car that has no limiter on it the revs should go all the way so work it out thats 180 MPH more or less at 6 K revs. 190 at 7 K revs ???? that aint far off the blessed 200 MPH and my car aint the fastest or most powerful. So I think the rev limit would allow it. On the right car.. :cool:

Most old'ns lknow my story (205 MPH) from way back in the good ol days of 2005 :p But why is it so hard to believe a car of this calibre with a bit of hootin and tootin cant do 200 MPH. I bet a pound on a penny that Macca's will do 200. I might be wrong but I just bet it will. Some of you sound like those in the pre 20th centry " if you go over 50 MPH your skin will come off" :rofl: But Joking aside I think the 300ZX can be made to do 200 MPH. It isnt light speed after all?
