If they issued a cheque knowing the funds were not in the bank then its a theft charge they are up against? Some people write a cheque knowing the funds are not there and cancel it thinking it wont get to the bank. Its still called theft. So you can ask the bank if the funds were there when the cheque was issued. If there wasnt you could pay them a visit and let them know you intend to take the matter to the police. HTH vini

If you brought a car into the country that was basically in bits. (by whatever standard ie: engine out or doors off) would that not be classed as spares? then you could put it back together and say you built it? It would be registered by the chassis year of manufacture (I dont think they do "Q" plates anymore) could this not be a way round it? Sounds like the SVA is just like Type Approval?

OIC. thanks bud. I remember this "Type Approval" thing being a local rule for new vehicles was going to be introduced a few years back on motorbikes to cut out the customising and chopping of them. When I had my new MG ZT it had a Type Approval number on the log book. If it isn't that hard to get one in. then it wouldnt be that hard to get one sorted. :D ;) I am sure I have seen R34's 2000 & 2001 imports for sale. I spose they must have has a report done?
