  1. I agree that it has become a vital part of ownership being part of this club. I wouldnt get shot of my car though if I no longer wanted to be part of the club. Although I can see a reason there somewhere. My mate got banned from a forum and then got shot of the car. I bought my car, did a search on Google by just entering 300zx and this site came up on or near the top of the list so I joined. Things have changed over the last 2 years or more but its still a great place. :D
  2. Well I got to say that if you were to buy that car for that money then you have too much money and should go and get your brains checked to see if they are still resident in you head. But thats me, skint and not that fond of older classic cars. :x: But hey good luck to the seller. Worth a try?
  3. How important is forum membership to owning a car? You buy a car? You join a related forum based owners club and get involved and become hooked. After a while the novelty wears off and you get bored with the forum. Would this have an effect on your ownership of the car? Would you now want to sell the car and start again with another forum? Is this why so many people are selling up just lately because they are not happy here? NO! before you ask. This isn't me saying I am. Not at all. I asked the same question to a mate of mine who changes he's cars like normal people change the CD playing in their stereo. In turn he changes to another forum and is trying to convince me that the forum membership has nothing to do with it. I must admit that forum membership does help. The like mindedness of the members and the help if things go wrong. The meetings and comparing what you do to your car to others is all part of the joy of ownership. I know a few of us go on other forums but this is the main and I also go on the Z Club and the skyline owners forum but thats it really.
  4. It must really because the N/A and TT have different ECU's.
  5. Sounds like a case of...."if it aint broke....then break it"?
  6. It wasn't hard Chris. I just used the force. :D
  7. What scale is it mate please?
  8. Know what you mean dave. My skyline is KPH but you get used to it after a while but still have to do the math when I get up there on my private road. :D I have decent clocks any way so stick em :D I got indiglo dials mate. Not as good as your ones but they do look pretty. If I come across anything in the collectables then I will give you a shout mate.
  9. I have a kit to make but want to wait until the car is finally finished so I can replicate it in the model. Good idea? The glass block thingy wont photograph very well as it reflects the light too much. :(
  10. i want those clocks please..... :D
  11. The back end is fookin horrible. the front is OK but this IMO looks better....
  12. nice little item dave. i have some bits and bobs too. my fav' is a glass block with a SWB 300zx laser etched into it. :D
  13. My old mans got a Mondeo 2.0 LX Si and its a good car. I was only pulling your leg. I really like the new Mondeo although most cars are looking like they were all from the same mould these days. But yes. A good choice for an every day car mate. a more sensible choice than my Skyline? :D
  14. It didnt have a flat battery did it? I had this and it was the ECU re learning. Coils packs like mentioned might need a little press down with your fingers to make sure they are tight. Could be bad fuel left in the system.
  15.  PMSL   Funky Si in a mundaneo.
  16. same as that man. :D
  17.  If it dont go on mate and you still want it then its yours. I have done some extensive work to get it to fit on the car. I was well upset as it was out by at least a CM when I got it where it fits to the wings. I have also (as you can see) fitted OEM lights in it. :D
  18. A temporary measure while mine is STILL being modded Si. LOL. :D
  19. OIC. Yeah! I think thats a great idea. I am going to do that with my finished modded back bumper. Ta very mooch :D
  20. The 99 spec rear spoiler is the best for this car I agree with you there. I wanted the overal shape to be like a wedge. I dont know why but its just my taste I spose? But the high level spoiler does what I wanted and so I kept it that way. I am going to look at your rides in a mo Si to see what you mean by having the rock gaurd shaved off? Both your cars Si and Mick are superb examples and an inspiration to any 300ZX owner. IMO. :D Had a look but cant see what you mean Si? Please elaborate for me.
  21. It reminded me of this picture of my MG ZT I took in 2004.
  22. I have a theory Mick. I think that the original looks were great. TBH that's why I bought the car and have wanted one for so many years before that. The thing that has occurred to me is because since owning my 300ZX and joining this club I have seen so many 300's that it sort of (but not definitely) gets a bit boring and like anything the novelty wore off. Seeing the newer look and some really lovely mods done makes a change. Now with this in mind I have been coming on less frequently of late for numerous reasons and having been away from the scene so to speak and not seeing so many 300zx cars like before, the original look has worn its way back on me and so hence my dilemma with what bumper to use. If any of that makes sense? So maybe you have the same sort of thing. When you first wanted one it was original. you see loads and want something different. back and forth until you realize what you wanted to start with was the car sitting next to your modded one? :D :D
  23. PMSL....Thats the name I was looking for cheers..... BTW the first one isnt grey along the bottom any more. :D
