  2. You sure you never put diesel in? I know it sounds stupid and I am sure you aint but its an easy mistake and you wouldnt be the first? :slap: Just sounds funny that everything was good until you put Optimax in?
  3. Funny that. Last night I was talking to my mate Joe. He has a MK1 Golf with a TVR engine fitted (featured in one of the Mag's not long back) Well the silly git has toasted the TVR and now wants to fit a 300ZX engine and box in it so was asking if I knew anyone with an engine and box. But I am sure if he does find the right lump and box he will give me some pix and I will post them up.

What about animation Rich? is this taking up too much space. I dont usually use an animated sig but did this for a change. let me know and its gone mate NP.
  7. Pete mate you are right but the car should have lasted more than 2 months? I imagine you would be mad if it was you? The small claims might be a bit OTT but the seller should have some responsibilty for the car he sold, cheap or not he told Bird it was a good car and it wasnt?
  8. Could use this as evidence: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=59741 loads of peeps thought it was a good buy? I wonder if the ToyMotor is still running ok?
  9. its not like you get a lifetime warranty with a secondhand car but ask him for a bit of help and gauge hes responce. he must be aware of this situation?
  10. Well mate deny it or not he cant get away with the fact that everyone in the club knows that you have had a shit experiance with the car from the start mate. He cant deny it and if it were me I wouldnt hesitate to offer help. But thats me and my way. I might be a grumpy arguementative twat at times but I am fair and honest as are the majority of members of this club.

I started riding motorcycles in 1975 when you was born. You think the things you listed are the first signs. you may be right scoops my son but wait until you get up out of the chair and everything hurts  wait until looking at a Volvo turns into buying one? wait until the word "FUN" means you have got do something. these are the signs mate. enjoy your youth while you still have a little bit left. See you in 10 years buddy......
  12. I was up for giving a helping hand well a fiver or so. BUT! then Funky Si has got problems and as T-Pot said so have a few others and to be frank and honest I cant help everyone so will sit on the fence with this one. I will admit tho; it was suggested by others and Bird is not delibrately on the ponce. I would deffo follow Gregs suggestion and get back to the seller and sort something out with him. if he really did stitch you up then he needs to be the one to help. Sorry mate.
  13. Spot on lads. Thank you all very much. Vince
  14. Is it a very difficult job? is there any links to a how to page? ;) Do I need a chainsaw/disc cutter or will conventional tools do? PLEASE!

I am scared since i joined this club to drive the fooker incase it breaks.   :mac1: I WANTED A FERRARI BUT COULDNT AFFORD ONE :slap:
  16. WHY? the standard 400 was all engine weight anyway. so it aint going to be anything much different. The frame wont handle the power and he is going to die.. :nono:
  17. Made up for you buddy. about time you had something to smile about.
  18. Hiya Andy. My membership is up for renewal on the 6th next month. Shall I pay then or would it be easyier to pay now. I dont want to confuse the issue but if its easier to get it done early then I will? I will use pay pal.
  19. I watched the bloke doing it and he did make it look easy. If you are going to have a bash at it then the biggest secret is to shape the film to the exact size of your glass back to front on the outside of the window with a hair dryer get all the bubbles out and get it spot on smooth. then you spray the inside with detergent/water then remove the backing and apply the film on the inside. it should be the exact size needed. once on you cant hang about as the spary will soon dry up. then after application you should allow 2 - 3 days before you operate the windows or heated rear screen (if they are the type).....As I said on a car that has the potential to show at meets????? I wouldnt. GOOD LUCK
  20. Another whipround then? All for one one for all (rules that is) :D :hyper:
  21. Dont get me wrong mate. I understand exactly where you are coming from. But you must agree that it aint a two minute job and you do really need to have a bit of practice which is going to cost money but yes if you are that way then DIY.
  22. can i buy the plenum strips please
  23. I thought you was in the states for a couple of weeks? How was it?
  24. 5 years warrenty and he knows what hes doing. unless you know exactly what you are doing it isnt worth doing it yourself as you will no doubt make a mess of it. Proof in the fact that Jay just did exactly that? I aint arguing that its cheeper to do it yourself of course it is. but if you value your car then pay the price it looks much easier to do than it acctually is. IMO of course. :D
