Check this bad boy...
It was acctually built on a maestro chassis Andy. and they used the metro look to try and promote the Metro as a competent rally car?? it had a Rover V8 engine converted for some reason to a V6. My point was that in all tense and purposes it is a metro you see going down the road? :D

It was never as successful as the Audi? It was never as widly spoken about as the scooby or Evo's of today. It was raved about but only really within the rally enthusiasts world. OK yes a fast car but why oh why would anyone in their right mind build a rally car from the ground up use a METRO as the donor car?????? I can only think of one reason........"Drug addiction"

I agree with you in a way but the 6R4 was a road car made into a race/rally car. the renault is a totally different story. But I get where you are coming from. I just think if I am going to spend £26K then I at least dont want it to appear like I have spent it on a metro.

Many moons ago they acctually produced a V8 metro the engine sat behind the driver and I saw one at a show. It looked OK and quite cool. But then again so did the Morris Ital ??????? at the time. £26,000. basically for a body kit and a V6 engine. Maybe some decent springs thrown in. but what else are you getting FFS its a METRO. :headvswal

Do you mean a sig picture or just to show others a picture? If you need a sig picture then its like Craig David said. But if you just want to post then I think you as a registered user can still use the "manage attachments" button below when posting.............

Wheel Spacers on non wide arch zeds.
Si dont cut corners mate. If you are in doubt get longer studs. You are dealing with a Super performance car as you well know and safety is paramount. I dont have to explain the size of the box they would need to cart you off if the wheel comes off doing over a ton mate do I :nono:  ;) it wouldnt need to be very big? :x:

another job done
TY mate. Is that all. :D Mine are like new as far as I know. I might paint them though. Was thnking about it just before christmas. They are a kind of dark greay I presume on my version of the car they are standard. Black would look nicer IMO. The middle bit is black and it will look better all the same. With a touch viniboy added too??? :x:

another job done
(IGNORANCE) What are they what do they do and where do they go? (IGNORANCE) We all gotta learn sometime aint we? And yes yani. I am always thinnking about what to do next. Now once I have the knowledge of what Scuttles are. I shall have something else to think about. I am customising my rear lights at the moment. Its a long haul to get them "spot on" :D But it will be worth all the effort in the end.

Import Tax from goods bought in USA
Sorry mate but if you havent bought the item you dont have to pay any tax on it. Even the customs and excise office dont make you pay for a birthday present? EG: How can they calculate tax percentage on something that hasn't cost anything? I have had plenty of stuff from the states from EBay sent as a gift and never had any problems. Fireworks alite again. :D

Import Tax from goods bought in USA
Well 2 years ago I bought some cheap jewellery from the states and got stung with 33% at the customs in the UK. DHL phoned me up and told me I had to pay it there and then or it would be sent back  I paid but wont do it again. Since then I have asked the sender to send it as a gift. That works if they will? :D HTH Vince
