Heres how I see it. Imagine you are driving along and as you round this bend some tw@t overtakes you going like a bat out of hell. The police are there waiting to grab someone on this notorious road. The other car speeds off and the old bill pull you up? You had nothing to do with it at all yet you are in the frame for racing him. All because you are in a sports car. I reckon he could have contested the case until he acctually got off? But we all know the law is an ass and basically we are at the mercy of honest/dishonest police? But to be honest if you are racing and you get caught then you have no one else to blame but yourself.

Once its ready for the road I will get the oil changed it had new oil in it last year and only done about 700 miles but I will change it when Its road worthy. Thanks mate.

Thanks chaps. The chance would be a fine thing Pete. Its lacking a rear bumper and the front is held on by only two bolts at the mo. Its on SORN and has no MOT. so I will have to wait. :D

OK my car is off the road at the mo as I am doing some extensive mods on the body. I start it more or less 3 times a week and let it run for around 20-30 mins. The car has always had a slight tapping deffo from the top end for about 2-3 seconds on starting ever since I have had it. now though it seems to keep tapping until I rev it and then it stops. BUT! after letting it rest on tick over it starts to tap again. the noise isnt very loud and as I said as soon as I rev it to anything above tick over it stops? I know this could be one of many things but what do the experts think? PLEASE. ( the noise could also be described as a loud tick or quiet tap. :D or somewhere in between???) There are no other noises and the engine still runs very nicely. Its only done 54,000 Km's. Thanks vince

2 hours work mate. get yourself a tin of plastic pudding or chemical metal shape it while its still plyable. sand it and get a tin of spray mask it off at the body panel line and spray it. Job done for less than £25.00. And even if you are not an expert its unlikely that it will be noticed as you didnt notice it as it is? HTH

I have seen the 180 on ebay before. it is a better and faster car than the 200 not sure but i think the 200 is 2ltr and the 180 a 1.8??
