Hi there ive been trying to narrow down an extremely annoying rattle it turns out it is my front left Coily... I believe it is the actual strut moving asthough the top nut is not quite nipped up... So i tightened it up as best as i could as there is no flat spot and it still rattles??

Yeah there sloid mate although i suppose that doesnt mean a great deal when they have force on them.... I will have a better look at them when i get a chance... Cheers Fella

Hi people... Im wondering which ball joints/bushes are common fails on the Z? mine has a knocking from the front left.. doesnt seem to be any play anywhere but getting a bit of wheel wobble on braking aswell? any ideas?? Cheers

Cheers boldy, If you talking about the nuts im thinking about then no i havnt done so as yet i did nip up the Outer track rod arms just a note for anyone who has had a track rod changed they could require a little nip up..... I will check the nuts mate and report back... Ta

yeah everything is put back correct... suppose warped disc is a possibility but i cant see how that would make a noise like that?? i think i will have to get back underneath and start bush and ball joint testing.....

Na mate its not the pads, They are brand new, Did it before i changed them aswell, Everything was tickety boo and tight and what not.... Dont get it, Its not a gring noise its simply a metalic click when the brakes are touched but not every single time...???

Hi there ive taken my liitle fairlady for a drive a few times and it appears to make a tapping/knocking noise when breaking,, All speeds forward and reverse, Seems worse in reverse if im honest or maybe its coz its slower.. Sounds as though pads are clapping on the disc...???? Any ideas?? Cheers Guys :rockon:

Hi there, I am wondering how to reduce noise in the boot, Im thinking of putting layers of sound proofing either thin layers of insulation or carpet to dull out the noise of the HUGE exhausts.... Has anyone done anything like this or similar?? Cheers :scooter:

Hello mate, Proper clean looking, Looks like a nice motor actually although the colour really doesnt do it for me, Hell of a motor to say you got kickin about tho, Dont see many round now..... Go for it.... at the end of the day you'll find another 300z if you really wanted to change again....

is it the Studs that are to long or the nuts touchinthe back of the wheel if its the studs then can you not put a 5mm spacers behind the spacer?? if it is the nuts get some 12x1.25 open end nuts (about a £1 each) if its both then 5mm spacer and open end nuts required?? Good Luck Chuck....
