what car do you most regrett selling?
My 2.2 vtec Honda prelude I think I should have given it more of a chance to impress it just felt a bit gutless because I jumped strait out of the zed but it only had 45k on the clock and was totaly mint all it needed was a clutch and it would have gone on forever and cost me next to nothing in maintenance now I've got the rs6 and it feels like a money pit lol

tracing an old car
LOL I make you right about the displacement my 6 has been in the garage for almost a month and I can't wait to get back behind the wheel nothing quite like a big german v8 lol although a japanese v6 tt gets pretty close lol, A little update on the roller I poped in to see the guys at Chelsea workshop today and he remembers my old man from the reg plate, we had a nice chat about him and the car I'm not afraid to say it got a touch emotional hearing the fella talking about my dad saying how much of a nice guy he was and how much he loved the car. Sadly though he doesn't tend to keep records for more than 7 years but he's gonna get his assistant to have a look through and see if he can find anything relating to the car that would point me in the right direction so fingers crossed.....

show me your watch
My 2 the Mrs bought me the seiko for my 20th and I treated myself to the tag for my 25th after a good year at work, the seiko is a great watch I love it it charges from your movement and it's not too big or flashy and I think it was around the 400 mark (6 years ago) There again the tag is fairly subtle but I could have bought a decent zed for the same price! Although to be fair the tags gone up in value plus I bought it for a lot less than retail because I payed cash, which is another thing when you go and buy your new watch don't be afraid to haggle even with the big jewelers as they will usually budge slightly on price, also if you can wait until Nov/dec time as most company's like tag, rolex, seiko put up prices in Jan so jewelers want to get rid of stock and if your lucky you'll buy yours for 250 it'll be worth 300 thanks to a good haggle and in a month they'll put up the price so it'll be worth 350

tracing an old car
Hi guys I know its a long shot but does anyone know of anyway of tracing an old car maybe not the actual owner but just to see if its still on the road and maybe general area? The only reason i want to know is my dad used to have a silver shadow mk2 and sold it when he got ill he spent a small fortune keeping it maitained and it was his dream car. It would be good to know someones still enjoying it and also maybe some day i could buy it back, the other problem is that i only know what the registration number was at the time of sale (WOR 22) and ive got no idea what the reg is now??? As i say its a long shot but there may be some way of doing it Cheers Nick

Dealer/warranty issuses
Now that's one option I didn't think about, yea I got the car partly on finance which is why I havn't threatened to give the car back to the dealer because if I settle The finance early I'd be left out of pocket due to the interest charges
-
Dealer/warranty issuses
The only reason the warranty would cover it is because it's the hydraulic suspension pump that's failed which is a mechanical failure just a pain they sent out an engineer really lol

Dealer/warranty issuses
Hi all Right having a problem and it a touch complicated so ill start at the beginning, I bought my car from a dealer with a 3 month warranty, a fresh mot less than a week old and felt fine to drive, anyway a few weeks before the warranty was due to expire in took the car to QST for a check over, they found drc problems and recommended new new suspension total cost 1400 which is reasonable. I looked for the warranty paper work and couldn't find it so I phoned the dealer and asked for a copy, they called me back a few hours later and said they had forgotten to do the warranty but said no problem they'll give me another 3 months starting that day and told me to give it a few weeks and make the claim, a bit dodgy but if it gets sorted no problem. Few weeks later I called the rac and started the ball rolling, because of the amount of the claim they sent out an engineer, the engineers report says that he suspects the damage occurred before the warranty start period and therefore won't pay out. so I payed another engineer to check the car and he agrees and estimates damage started up to a year ago. Now the question is who should pay?? The dealer is saying that because of the mot being clear of all advisorys the weaping shock couldn't have been there on sale although are saying they are going to see what they can do in regards to putting some money towards the repair and the rac are rightly saying the damage was already there. I wouldn't mind paying for it if I'd had the car for a year but I only bought it 4 months ago do I have any legal right to send the dealer the invoice? Or should I just roll over and pay to have it done? Sorry for the essay Hope someone can help Cheers, Nick

I knew they were quick, but wow...
Saw this the other day on the rs6 forum its completely metal!!! Fastest Ive ever been was in my 6 ( the v8 not the v10 havn't won the lottery just yet) racing an m3 I clocked 160 plus, left him for dead but was only for a few miles and that was enough for me, doing those speeds for that long is asking for trouble - - - Updated - - - Oh forgot to mention all that was on a very private road obviously

paint advice please, before I set fire to it....
You could try leaving it a few days or even weeks if you have the time to see if it will eventually harden as taking off stonechip is a pain at the best of times, I'd use a grinder with a pad it'll be easyer to control and quicker than a drill

paint advice please, before I set fire to it....
If it's a chemical reaction between the 2 it may have to come off, although it may be that there were just a few small patches of stone chip that hadn't fully cured
