Yes thats right Billy; i do have to have an Auto due to needing to use hand controls, as i'm in a wheel chair. I would LOVE to drive a manual car again; but never mind. I guessed it was going to be about £1000 plus the VAT !! :shock: Marcus

. . . . We did it; we went on a track day. :nana2: A present from my PA's; We had a great time, plenty of track time cos it was 'open pit'. I scared myself too many times (see photo) its the look of fear realy!! Then after a great day it all went tits up; about 10 miles from home we lost all drive to the gear box ???? Not sure if it is the fluid that we have cooked or if its the bands gone. There seems to be a smell from the fluid but no abnormal colour. Think we will change the fluid and have a look at the sump filter;if no lumps in it we will change fluid. If the sump has nasty bits guess it could be a bit worse :mac1: Just have to wait for delivery of sump gasket and bits. Think it may be my last track day in the Zed ! :slap: They even got the Zed on my birthday cake !! :hyper: :hyper:

So at last a chance to give it some serious right arm(hand controls that is!) Has any one done a track day in their motor and is it as much fun as i think it could be? We are going mob handed with about 14 people so we will get spme good pics i hope. :rofl: Wheel Man.

Thanks for the comment Vinz. I take it you did note that the left pic IS the 'before' work on of one of them. I have to add that my Zed is NOT a MINTER so i am don't need them 'like new' as i am not into spending wads of caash on a car that will never get the return in investment.The kerb damage has gone too. If i wanted them 'mint' i would have bought new ones...... These seem to be fairly rare rims and complement my Zed well as it is not mint. How many people can say that their rims stay 'as new' for long? I spent; what i think was enough money on the rims to make them in line with the rest of the car. :p Thanks for you input but i will pass on putting the Zed on show like some seem to think they need to and enjoy driving mine when i can; and look forward to my track day in March. :hyper: Drive safe

Well; here is the up date on the rims........ Vince(the re-ferb man) came on Sat with my Rims. They have had to have new gaskets made(they were 3 piece) That cost £100 for them.. :shock: But they were striped back and there are a LOT of bolts to undo!! :rofl: He then sorted the kerb damage out on the two and made good the backs. This afternoon i spent a little time with the Autosol and i think it was money well spent;as they look great.Photos... I will take some pics with tyres on. I have AT LAST found a guy who will do the split rims off my Zed. He is fairly local and i am due to get them back on Sat. So with a little luck my tyres will no longer need air every three days. Watch this space for a report after the weekend. !!! Roll on the 24th March as its my first track day at Oulton Park. Marcus

It does not need NOS because off road 10mph is like 100 !!! On the road with no helmet(dont need one) 50mph is like 150mph, and as for the looks you get is ace !

They are easy to insure; Bike Sure i think mine is with, not too much either. You must have a car licence to drive it though; is classed as a 'Quadracycle'

Near Iron Bridge in Shropshire. They have a meet every month (1st Sunday) you bring your own motor and its £30 all day !
