Why don't we have a christmas meet at the pub where they had the Easter meet and Christmas meet last year. It is in Solihull, I think it was called The Boat. They have a large carpark and plenty of seating and the food is good. It is also not far from the motorway, so people from north and south could quite easily get there. Warren,You cheeky sod, we women drive fine thank you very much. I am quite sure that there are as many bad men drivers as there are women. Most white van drivers are men, and they drive very badly. But just remember who gets the better insurance rates at the end of the day:D :D. Did anyone say Hydraulic?? LOL If engine does not turn with plugs out, big problems are afoot. Is/was there any water in combustion chambers?? An endoscope will help look down to see any aqua.... IF you can get the engine to turn (with plugs out), have a look to see if any pistons are not travelling up the bores as much as the others or as much as the marks in the cylinders from the piston rings.. Does look as if a con-rod has bent so bad it prevents the crank from turning though...:( Which in turn means crank journal has bent. DOH. New bottom half at least... Sorry... Robert.

Firefighters do deserve everything that they are asking for, and then some. I used to do pub relief all around England, and the worst thing was when the local Firemen would come in at the end of a shift, as they walked through the doors you could tell what sort of time they had had. After one of these dreadful evenings they all walked in and you could see it was a bad one, I just used to line up the beers and chasers and then walk away, because they had just taken 3 tiny dead childrens bodies out of a house, their parents had left them and gone out to the pub. I could not in a million years ever cope with that, and neither could a lot of others. I also worked there when the riots in Handsworth took place, the Firemen were stoned, had rocks thrown at them and beaten. These are people who give without thinking, they rescue others without wondering if it is the right thing to do. They are HERO'S through and through. THEY DESERVE EXTRA MONEY, because all to often they die at an early age, from another persons stupidity. If MP's took a tiny pay cut all the rescue services would get the extra money that they so rightly deserve. Hugs and kissses Wendy P.S. Em thank god sanity at last, been there done that, I know what you mean about the stick you get being a single parent. For me it was be a single parent or I would have been killed by the ex. I choose and yes I loved it, had to work extra hard but it has all been worth it. I put my son through private school and it is now paying off. If the children know their boundaries then they are confident happy children, but when they are left alone 24/7 with sh*t parents thats when it fails. Aaron we live in the West Midlands come and live here, it is not to bad, plenty of night clubs and pubs. Don't just think about coming to the meets, just turn up. We have a good laugh when eveyone is there. You would not be the only person there on your own, a lot of the members come on their own. I always go with Rob, but a lot of the partners don't go. And everyone is always made welcome, even if you fall out with someone on here, it usually blows over in a short space of time, and then everyone just gets along again. And believe me if you think women can bitch, just watch some of the He bitches on this place, they could win any competition hands down. I waited a long time and had some very bad times before I met Rob, we have now been together over 7 years have a daughter of almost 5 and a baby due 1st January. And we got engaged on November 5th. As for the original thread we will all fail in the end because there are too many who want and are not prepared to work for it. They already get away with any and every crime, and it will continue until the justice system gets it head from up it's own ass, and makes these idiots responsible for what they do. Stop trating them as poor unfortunates and make punishment fit the crime. Parents should be responsible for their offspring, I am, my son is 14 1/2 and I always know where he is. He has to be in by 8.30pm at the latest. Unless he is out with us or with family. He had a couple of so called new friends in August, he got into trouble by hanging around with them, and now he is grounded until February. He knew he was in the wrong and apologised and accepted his punishment. If more parents were made to take resposibility for the things their children do, we probably would have a better future. But while teachers are faced with assults on a daily basis from both pupils and their idiotic parents there is no chance of the country ever getting better. These children have no respect for themselves or anyone or anything, and the vast majority learned this from their parents. Give the schools back the right to punish, give the law the teeth it needs to punish crimes, and get the justice system running in favour of the innocent not the guilty.
