  1. Greetings gents.....have a question on my TT. anyone know what temp the ecu needs to see from the temp sensor before it will distribute the negative feed to open the boost solenoids? at 70 degrees (on diagnostic) I have no negative, checked a schematic and can see the negative joins both solenoids and a splices off to the ECU first stop is a continuity test in the morn unless one of you fine chaps tell me I need to see 80 degrees before the negative will be present........then il be looking at a dodgy temp sender or a thermostat sticking open. thanks in advance.

  16. If I remember right I had paperwork with the car and pretty sure an invoice from jeffs place for the thermostat supplied n fitted, yea I know what it will do and the difference it will make but I'm just wondering why........ Is it to avoid head gasket issues?? Other than to be fitted to a track car which see's hard use I see no other point in it, just wondering which one to put back in lol Oh and cheers all for the comments :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Hiya folks, fitting powder coated water pipes and thought I'd change the thermostat while at it since I was in there, so the originals are aparently rated 76.5 degrees, as was the replacement I bought, but the one that's in the car is rated 62 degrees , another reason for changing it was when driving the car the heaters are pretty shit and temp dips quite a bit until idling then it rises to around the half way mark (normal) making me think it may be ****ed and jammed open, but now seeing the temp rating on it makes sense and visually there's buggerall wrong with it, il test it in hot water and all that but just thought I'd ask you lot what temp thermostats ya use and if anyone's had the likes of this fitted! .......... And a wee pic of my colourfull engine so far. :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Cheers for the input guys :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. Anybody done this or do ya usually just paint em, got my slicky in a thousand bits and want to freshen up the rocker covers, I'd rather powder coat but there's wee plastic bits on the inside of em which I'm guessing won't agree with the oven!! Any advice appreciated! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
