Hi Jeff, As you have asked for views I have taken the time to write this, I hope no one is offended.. Its to give you how a customer feels and what a customer expects from a business. I run a business myself – no a garage. This is interesting from both you and the customer. I have been there. I ordered a recon gearbox for my TT. The company said it had been sent. No delivery. Waited. Waited and waited some more. Got fed up waiting. Also supplies were running low and we needed food and water so had to leave the house. Chased it. It’s in the post.... really OK ill wait some more. In the end I lost my temper, asked for proof and the delivery number from the manifest.... er no! They don’t have one. Great. That certainly means it was not sent.... Customers think Royal Mail is a get out....Recorded delivery is only about a £1.00 or two or even ask for a receipt as proof of delivery costs nothing. I understand you wanting to save money by sending it in the post. How much did you actually save? Would it not be better for you and the customer to say OK I’ll send the part FOC but you pay for the courier charge. What’s that about a £5.00. Customers should be happy with that. Let’s face it you sending another part FOC so shows good will. However, I will ask here. The parts you send out are they tested prior sending them out? I could be wrong but I don’t think they are. Please correct me if I am wrong. I notice in your PM you also say you have more injectors, What you don’t say is Only One in stock. Also, I am nit picking here as you have asked for feedback. Jeff The above reply by you does not tell the customer anything? So that’s why he is has got annoyed – I would be annoyed with that reply from a business. As for it failing etc, I’m no mechanic and have this possible wrong attitude here. We mere mortals take our cars to a garage. Hand over our hard earned money to a garage with what we believe to be a good garage on the basis that a forum/ person says they are good. Then a month later its knackered! All we mere mortals want is a working car. And all we ever get is told it could be this , er this, or this and the list is endless. Dave

Ive gone on here, http://www.childcarseats.org.uk/law/fromseptember06faq.htm#lap As Groover said the boosters are designed for 3 point systems and it does not sit in the bucket of the seat. I put the kiddies in without the boosters and they are more secure that way. Ill see if I can finder any other info. Thanks

Yes I have thought about doing that at a later date. But, do we know if the kiddies can go in the back without a booster seat with the lap belts?

Hi Guys, Do any of you have kids that go in the back of the 300? Reason I am asking is the seat belts in the back are not normal like the ones in the front of the car. The ones in the back just strap over you waist as it were is the best I can describe it. Now the booster seats - don't go in the back very well due to the shape of the seat. So I was wondering does anyone know if I can just have the kiddies in the back with the seat belt fastened and no booster? As I thought the booster was for the type of belts in the front of cars. Any help appreciated. regards Dave

OK after the long wait which felt like years, she has had a recon gearbox auto, fitted by my local garage. Then had other issues but they were not experts on this car, having tried their best. I took it to D2 in Strood. As he was recommended on here and by Nissan themselves Got the car back at 12pm. Took here for a ride about 35 miles in total which I have to say is the longest ride I have had since owning the car. Well all I can say is she ran sweet as a nut....! My heart very relieved. There might be issues that appear later but so far so good. Gave it some heavy right foot as one would on the fast roads and my oh my!! She was great! So although it cost me a fair amount of money which for the work probably was a fair price. I would like to say thank you D2(Darran) it was so nice to drive home. I had to take the roof off and crank up the tunes. Even the wife and kids enjoyed the ride.

Thats low enough. Don't want to purchase a new car though just the gear shifter. Anyone know what shifter that is? The reason I want it low, I own a Jaguar Sovereign and the shifter is low same height as the centre console and its so easy and comfortable. So thought that would be nice in the 300zx. I cant see any side button there though? The safety button you press in when changing gear?

Hi Guys, I was wondering whether its possible to modify the gear stick on an Auto. Is there a kit you can buy or is it lots of work and do it yourself. I dont like the standard gear stick in my TT. 1. Its too high up. 2. I want it the same height as the centre are rest/console. Can it be done? Does anyone know how or where I can go to get it done. Many thanks

Wow that look cool. My Zeds an Auto and i had a refurbished box put in. I still have the one they took out. So are you saying it can be repaired fairly cheaply? Also how do you test a repaired box? Do you put it back on the car and prey.

Hi Groover Ok I will have a look at that and try it. Ill update later. I have also arranged for D2 to have a look at it. Had a chat with him yesterday and he seemed to know the cars even Nissan recommended him.

ill just add here, I did increase my revs slightly on the idle control and its not dying everytime now. But the revs do go down My idle is about 850.

Just did that and the revs increased to about 1300 rapidly. If I had left it it may have settled back down? I take it, it was supposed to do that?

I phoned Zedworld and he asked me to do a test. I kept my foot on the throttle so it idled at 1000, and turned the wheels and it did not die. But if I don't do that, it dies slowly What does that tell us?

Groover, I strangely enough... I have just been out doing that. If I turn the wheel in P Park or N Neutral the revs die and almost stalls the engine. So what does this tell You the expert.. Dave

Yes cleaned all the connectors CAS CLEANED MAF - CHECKED ALSO DISCONNECT WHEN ENGINE RUNNING CUTS OUT TPS CLEANED TEMP CLEANED COILS CLEANED Regards
