  1. thanks for the info bart. ok to clarify i am looking for profiles that give me the most off the line speed as in london you wont be reaching any top speeds :P. Also tires that give a good stance. So what do you guys reckon? Also the car is stock with no mods or bhp gains!
  2. I guess thats why my zed felt a bit wobbly around corners etc, the tires make a huge difference i suppose!
  3. Great thanks, mine are 225 on back and front. Which makes the car look a bit boring if you know what i mean. Do the bigger tire size effect the performance in anyway? negatively?

  8. well i went to private mech, he changed all belts for me for £80, so happy days :)
  9. asked nissan out of curiousity and they said £65 to tighten it lol!
  10. Ok had a quick check, the belt that goes from water pump to altenator, is pretty loose. I just pressed it down and there was hardly any tension in it at all. The belt seems pretty new though!
  11. hmm i am new to this car i would probably get it done by a mechanic. I am going to take a proper look now as its was dark when it started squeaking. Anyone know any good mechanics near london? or is there anyone near london that can give me a hand? :D
  12. Wow the noise is annoying and very embarrassing, does it matter if i go to a specialist to get the belt done?
  13. thanks a lot z32bolt :D, that cleared it up for me. Is my fan belt that is squeaking, well thats what it sounds like, so need to get that changed. I thought as the car had full nissan service history, they would have changed the cam at 60k or so. However going next week for a full check up by jeff :)
  14. Weird it has no belt on it at all, but driving is perfect. Btw i do have an automatic! Yeah my main belt whatever its called going to change it. Any ideas as to cost and work involved?

  17. Hey Guys, My belt at the front of the engine is squeaking and was wondering whats the best fix? Also on the right bottom side there is another pulley but it look likes its disconnected (no belt on it) is that the AC unit part?

  24. Finally after two days of bad luck and hardwork i managed to get my car back home. To cut the story short, took a flight to belfast but on the way my wallet was stolen but lucky i put the car money seperately. This indirectly made me miss my ferry back to london. So was totally screwed but was a proud owner of a zed with no money for petrol and no place to stay. Somehow managed to get some money from a friend via a long shot, rebooked the ferry for the next day and left for london on saturday! Short version but was one of the most stressfull days lol However getting of the ferry at liverpool and then driving 4 hours to east london, couldnt stop smiling :D. The car didnt miss a beat its got a share of problems, but its not too bad for the [rice and came with a full nissan service history too. Full leather interior in a very good conditions and fully electric seats etc Big thanks to Gary for going over and checking the car for me! Quick pictures with my iphone, so not the best quality around! The car is very dirty, i am going to get a full vallet service on it within the next few days and will upload some more pics :) Well that aside i would like to state the main problems and i hope the more knowledable users can give me a hand! Bare with me as i am quite a newbie to the whole market. -Braking causes shake too - Tracking or balance? or replace brakes? - Fueling, when i try to fuel it keeps locking it, like how it should when the tank is full, but this does it all the time. So i can only fuel rather slowly. -Tiny bit of Rust - weilding? Full service history stamps are there but he didnt have all the reciepts etc, so i am not sure if they did a cambelt change, i am supposing they did as it was nissan. i tried calling the branch up but he said they delete the record after owners sells the car. So you guys reckon i should do a cambelt change? First Steps 1) Full service and Diagonostics by Jeff! 2) Fix the rest :P Any suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated!! :taz:
