  1. haha! Alright ill take your word as encouragement here, DONE!. Work starts early morning tomo. i have just started to wash the frame and then paint it after it drys :). Need to wait for my locking collars too now lol
  2. So on day to day tasks overtaking and occasional boosting its going to make a major difference?. What i am trying to work out is if after the change you drive the car for the first time is it going to put a smile on your face?
  3. But is it really worth it? i been reading and initially it was positive and now i see a lot of negative information too. the work hasnt started yet so i can still make up my mind lol
  4. i would be interested to compare 1/4 mile times and speeds. i can see the NA diff just making you shift to fourth as opposed to staying in 3rd, and that shift time canceling out any benefit. on the 0-60, theoretically the na diff would be faster, but is it really? i lose traction heavily in 1st and at the last half of 2nd when laying into it. with an na diff, i can see you losing traction even more. any input?
  5. had a look they are roughly the same price!. but still trying to figure whats the best choice for bushes? solid gives best performance right? what would be the benefit of energy bushes over metal ones? Is there a point in raising the subframe? some soild ones raise it by 15mm
  6. is it either the bushes or locking collars? What the best bushes to go for? i see the ones on zcenter.co.uk Which is the best? Solid ones http://zcentre.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=354&category_id=109&keyword=bushes&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=7 Energy ones http://zcentre.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=245&category_id=63&keyword=bushes&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=7 What is are the benefits of solids? http://zcentre.co.uk/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.tpl&product_id=470&category_id=59&keyword=bushes&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=7
  7. Thats why love this place, great team spirit!! - - - Updated - - - Need to get it collected hopefully before Friday if anyone can?
  8. You mean the originals? Yes as far as i can see both sides are disconnected!
  9. Hey guys, I am planning to change my tt back end to a na one. Was wondering if its worth keeping the tt parts? How much would tt subframe with diff and all the other parts sell for? Everything on the tt is really good except the hicas part has a slight play. Or is it better just to scrap it? Also any key tasks that might be worth doing with the swap? Bushes etc? Also wats better bushes or locking collars??
  10. Well took the car out for a drive and today it seems to be boosting fine! Can temperature affect it? i am thinking if its an issue with the controller itself.? @Noz i didnt check my pillar gauge, will have a look
  11. Yeah its set to manual etc, noel set it up properly, and dynod it so its not the controller must be a leak or something somewhere.. Well the piping etc seems ok from what i can see and i have used the least amount pipe so that shouldn't be the problem as it was working perfectly before. I am gonna let graham (bad300z) take a look at it on Tuesday hopefully, my lack of experience doesn't help! Did read that too, but i checked what i could and didn't see any obvious leaks.
  12. Hey Guys, I wanted to buy a part for the z but unfortunately the fellow does only allow collection of the item, as its about 3 hr drive for me. Would anyone be able to pick it up on my behalf and post it to me? I am more than willing reimburse for your time and will arrange courier to pick the item from you. They are a set of coilovers :). Cheers!
  13. that would be great mate...pmed back :)
  14. Hi, My car was recently dyno'd and setup by turbonoz and the max it ran was around 18psi, final figure which it was set to was a max of 17 and then 14.8 (1 bar). Recently i have noticed that no matter what setting i put my max or peak boost remains 14.3-6 and for the last few days my peak boost has come down too 14.0 psi. I have a Blitz SMD boost controller and i have tried increasing the Set and gain etc with no luck. I recently changed the AAC valve and relating units, and it developed a hissing noise from the rear of the engine, i have check the pipes surrounding the unit and no leaks are there. Whats the best way to tackle a boost leak (unconfirmed) and is their anyone near London who can help me with this issue?? Otherwise it will be another trip down to Jeff, which is rather far away.
  15. Well recentl jeff setup my timing with new plugs etc. I just changed my tps with another known working on and its still the same thing!
  16. ok update, tried everything still have the hissing sound coming from around the aav unit or near there. Any vacuum pipes around that area? This one is boggling my mind!!
  17. Hi Jeff, Thanks for the info, would the boosting be related to this at all? Would a boost leak cause high idle?
  18. Hey Guys, Noz said on conzult that the AAC valve wasn't working so i have now replaced that unit with the air regulator. I start the car up with AAC removed and then set base idle to 650, however once i connect the aac it will shoot right back up too 1500 and no matter what i do on the screw of the aac valve it makes no difference. Not sure if this is related, recently my peak boost was set to a max of 17 and if i increased my settings my car would boost to 17. However i have noticed that i can only boost to about 14.3 and no matter what i do it doesn't go any higher. today after changing the aac valve i have noticed that there is some sort of hissing sound come from the rear of the engine. For the life of me i have had a good look for hours and cant locate the source of the sound. Have new spark plugs, injectors are working fine and throttle bodies look very clean! ALSO i have noticed that unplugging and plugging the AIR regulator connector makes no difference with the engine is running, is this mean to be the case??? HELP!!!
  19. download it and upload it, then select at the bottom as sig. easy!
  20. mine is a tt manual with normal tt rear end. its about 3000 @70. But i am not sure if my 19" have anything to do with it. Gps shows 72-3 when i am doing 70.
  21. well mine is tt and for some reason its at 3k.
  22. Are we talking about the new GTR's here?
