hey guys, im back on the forum full time now. and so glad for it. after fighting for SO long to keep my old 93 tt 2+2 i had to sell her early this year. stupid insurance companies wanting 8k!! well i had a e36 m3 replica since, and lady luck shown me a awsome lookin 300zx N/A, ex show car. of whos owner wanted a e36 m3. so a straight swap and i am now the proud owner of a z again. and although its only a N/a, its been looked after,veilside kit, bsa 19'' rims. hsk Zorst. Ecu mapped to the balls.s14 seats.dvd etc etc. ill try get some piccies up soon, cant drive it yet tho :( , redundant, Again! soon as i find a job, ill come cruisin wid ya :D

hey guys, i sent them wheels and tyres, to have the kerbing sorted,chemical strip,powder primer,powder coat and powder laquer and re-fit tyres and balence it worked out at about £70 a wheel. not got any piccys yet my cams fubard but ill see if i can get some up, the quality really is amazing though, im pretty sure they can do split rims cos they asked if they were when i rang em. started taking off bits and bobs to send them for powder coating today. cant wait to finish my build, hoping to have it done by the summer! :)

hey guys, i just had my advan wheels refurbished and they are like NEW! just thought id recommend these guys to everyone, they are very good value for money considering the finish, they guys there said they can powder coat,paint,machine,weld,polish anything so i thing i might get some brackets and little bits and bobs powdered. would like to have my plenum polished but i dont know if i want to take it off lol. there site is http://www.blackandwhiteinternational.com- they are miles away from me but when i rang them they arranged collection and delivery. there based in nottingham. cheers

hey guys, happy new year! over the xmas period,i left my z stand for like 2 weeks,starting engine occasionly, when ice had cleared i got her out again and noticed the handbrake light doesnt go off anymore? any ideas?

hey there lee,thatd be great,im on phone to maplin now,they keep asking me what king of wattage? i said i dont know i just want a 1 megaohm resistor,lol, i asked them what colour theres was they said blue, mines grey? i dont want to trouble you if you want some peace on ur day off lol,but would be nice to meet you :) thanks mate :thumbup

not 100% sure, i went to maplins and asked for a 1megaohm resistor, its grey if that means anythink, on the multimeter, i set it to 2000k? and the resistor starts at about 1250 then settles to bout 995. thanks :thumbup: :headvswall:

just had a epiphany? where is pin 50 grounded to? just a thought because i didt bolt the ecu bracket back down just incase i had more work to do, so if it grounds through that bracket then it wouldnt because it wasnt bolted down. just a thought.would explain the error reading codes bit maybe?:confused::hammer:

hey guys, :helpsmilie: what ive done is ive soldered a 1megaohm resistor,reading 996 roughly, ive soldered two pieces of small wire to the each end of the resistor,i have the soldered a long piece of wire to one end and designated it ground, i the ran the wire behind the dash into a toggle switch near steering wheel,and a wire back again,tested is all is well,i then melted the insulation open slightly on the wire going to pin 23,beige ish colour,about 5 inch from the harness,just before were this beige wire meets a black thick wire.i soldered the non switch end into this beige wire.(pin 23) and the other end in to the small black wire.(pin 50) i put a switch in just incase for some reason it starts to detonate.plugd into ECU talk, started it up, all is well, check the codes, this is with the det sensor connected,but switched so that resistor is in circuit, error reading codes, i took this as no codes.shut down, switched the switch off(safety mode) start up again. code 34. clear codes.shutdown.start up with switch ON ( resistor) code 34 !, tried same with det disconnected, same, no difference, went for a drive still boosting 6, 0.4 bar ish, still slow below 3500, still have code 34. thinking ECU fubard? or maybe i should take away the switch and try again, do i need to cut the beige wire after my soldered connection? loosing hope. anyhelp appreciated, hopefully lee can fix it if i dont get any luck :thumbup:
