My s14a build thread any interest??
Cheers Stu, should pop up anytime mate. Got some big projects going on in the lock up atm. It should make over 500bhp at the fly with 740cc injectors.

My s14a build thread any interest??
Next step was to plumb in all the pipe work on the Greddy style intake manifold. To make this easier I removed the standard brake servo which I was planning to upgrade to a Z32 servo and BMC. But due to the size of the intake the larger Z32 servo wont fit so i will have to make do with just the Z32 BMC. This took about an hour but hopefully should be sorted! (these Greddy copies have a tendancy to leak.....) I then went to work on sorting the HKS BOV which again caused problems as space was again very tight on the intake side of the engine. I had to buthcer the last remaining piece of the SR20DET FMIC pipe work to make it all fit and after much grinding, cutting and swearing it all squashed together:hammer: I finished the day by plumbing in the oil catch can and alloy rad but I now have no space for the coolant overflow bottle:confused1: I then sorted the throttle cable by rotating the Throttle Body 180 deg which made the cable the exact length, result!!! I thought this was gonna be a real pain in the ar*e

My s14a build thread any interest??
I have finally managed to get some more work done on the s14 and thought I would give this thread a long overdue update. Any thoughts, ideas comments would be well recieved as I am building this in the same workshop as three other RB conversions on S bodies and of course want mine to be the best:yes: I have clocked the turbine housing on the Greddy T67 so the oil return now faces down and the oil feed is now up in the air. I then bolted it to the manifold and measured the gap from the exhuast housing to the bulk head so I can start working on the custom down pipe. I also completed fitting the custom intercooler pipework. This was trickier than first thought due to the size of Q45 throttle body and custom intake manifold which made it very tight indeed. I have only linked it all up with silicone atm but will need to get it all welded together when I start running some big boost through it:yes: I then got to work on the twin Apexi intake kit removed from an Rx7 andf the only way to make it all fit was to remove the apexi elbow joints and replace them with 2 Z32 AFM's ( thanks to CoolQ for selling me his spare!) I am really pleased that i managed to fit them and I reckon looks pretty tidy with the Greddy T67? I quickly dropped the rad in to make sure there was enough room to fit the electric fans as the viscous has now been dumped. Apologies for the pictures the I phone 4's camera is cra*

And a new Toyota...
The Subaru BRZ version looks better! Also it only weighs 1180kgs and pushes out 197 bhp from the 2 litre boxer 4. With today's forced induction trend you have to give them credit to sticking to the original concept.

Zedworld Chipped ECU
Deatschwerks injectors are more reliable than Jecs in my experiance. Only as I know of 2 sets developing problems in RB's. I will be going for 740'cc ones eventually in my s14. They are now doing uprated fuel pumps which seem to be a viable alternative to Walbro/Bosch etc. http://www.deatschwerks.com/

Thankyou kinugawa.

Engine swap >> Skyline GTR RB26 engine
Adapting the RB26dett to RWD cars is a tricky and more expensive option. (RB26 £2000+ vs RB25 £800+) The sump also has to be modified due to the front differential on the rb26dett. Dont reckon thats a twin turbo any more either???

My s14a build thread any interest??
Hope so! Nearly sold it when I lost my job earlier this year but it has been my pride and joy for over 5 years now and I dont think i will ever sell it. If i was gonna be really silly, I would like to get an RB30 bottom end with fully forged internals from Thor Racing and ditch my T67 for a T78 stick some 1000cc injectors in a high flow fuel rail........ Well we can all dream!

My s14a build thread any interest??
The next stage of the build was to start on the intake side of the engine. I dedided to go for a Greddy "copy" inlet manifold which does away with the restrictive and messy over the engine intake pipework on the RB25 and then I will need to fabricate some custom pipe work to come around from my FMIC through were the battery used to be located and up into the throttle body. The s14a FMIC pipe work I have is far to long and I need to chop over 40 cm out of it but still retain the pipes for the boost solinoid, BOV etc. Q45 90mm throttle body I decided on this over a custom jobbie as it retains the throttle sensor and only needs a little rewire as there are 2 plugs on the wiring loom to link it all up on a series 2 rb25det. On a series 1 rb25det the throttle sensor just plugs straight in, something I didn't realise until I had a spare plug and was wondering where does this go?? The next step was to transfer all the std intake manifolds pipes, breathers and sockets onto my new Greddy intake manifold. Notice the size difference but there is a good weight saving also! Now this is where some of the cheap Greddy copies can come unstuck with the pipes not lining up and the quality of the threads can cause poor fitting and leaks etc. Luckily this was not an issue and everything bolted on as it should.
