  2. everything seems fine, there's no pressure in that thing i was saying i can squeeze, and when i do squeeze it i then see the bubbles coming out.
  3. no non. already looked for that mate  there's no water to look at in mornings when she's cold :(
  4. Cadpaul was the first person i met, and my first meet was in the celica at the same one as you :smash:
  5. At the minute it seems to be using water yes, alot or i have a leak. There is bubble in the water if i squeeze the pipe anyway. Oil seems to be fine And the engine was warm i do believe, well i think it was anyway
  6. It was but someone else has just (a few mins ago) went and put a deposit down, Im really gutted like
  7. you need to pay £20 at subscribe matey
  8. looking at the cost and having been offered an engine it would be cheaper to switch the engine, still may rebuild as and when i can afford too
  9. yeah, to be honest i think ill end up getting it fixed like, would just like to know what the car can do like
  10. Thanks for that mate Look at my sig mate
  11. its about 3 seconds slow mate.
  12. Well for ease its better to get a new engine, and cheaper :smash: But he's happy either way really but i think it'd be a shame to break her after putting so much time and money into it.
  13. ha, after all this i finally got the injectors connectors through in the post  i think its ammusing anyway
  14. Thanks for that Simon. Looks like it'll be best if i get another engine thats working properly and just swap them Once that is done i can break the old engine and use all the good bits or maybe even repair it
  15. The actual running of the engine is very smooth indeed mate, lack of power yes, other than that the car is spot on really. :(
  16. Ok, thanks for that matey
  17. OK, JUST TO RE-ITTERATE, THE PERSON I USE IS VERY GOOD WITH THE ZEDS. :headvswal dunk300zxtt the timing was actually only out by 3, just the datascan that says the wrong amount and this has also been changed and is spot on.
  18. Who knows, its pretty much been bad since i got it. It was origionally an auto and it seems the box was on its way before i got it, martyn at zen then changed it to a manual for me, he didn't notice it was running wrong though when he drove it, then i needed rear shocks, some other bits and bobs too, and now its a rebuild job, or maybe a new/second hand engine if there's one for an ok price that is. It looks like its the rings on mine because after i got a 7.5 reading on the compression test i then did it wet and it jumped up to 9.
  19. wait til mrs Bird see's this. Its her in a nut shell apart from the walking out bit anyway. Women, who needs em eh :x:
  20. Its a bottom end rebuild. if it was a normal garage then i would take it to specialists but its not, its someone that really knows the cars inside out and is also someone that i trust :smash: Glenn, I pretty much got the car swapped for a celica i had, lets just say he's definately had the best out of the deal. As for what i have spent just look at my sig, i have a little bit more to add to that though. :headvswal I dont mind the colour when its clean however its one of those colours that get very dirty 5 mins after its cleaned and then just looks like an old colour.
  21. MAC, the person that has been working on my car is very good with the zeds to be honest with you, he has been working with them for quite a while now, he was the mechanic at PPS so knows the zed very well and is kind of a specialist anyway. I seriously doubt any of the specialist garages will tell me any difference to what he will or has, thats no disrespect to any of the traders there of course. The thing is its a hell of a lot of petrol to find out the engine is goosed, probably close to a couple of tank fulls in my car,
  22. lol, thats what i was complaining about the other week lol :x:
  23. Some of you may know already and some of you dont. Right basically i got the car (i got ripped off obviously) in about november, since then i have spent loads of money fixing the fooker. Tonight i got a compression tesat which turned out pretty dam bad and points to the ring being fooked. So now after already spending so much im left with 3 choices. Do i get the engine rebuilt? Get a replacement engine? Break her? Someone please help. Im so sick of the dam car i could cry now
  24. OK, firstly the test was done dry (throttle bodies open on all tests done) and the figures above are the dry ones. 7.5 was on cylinder number 6 or the one at the back on the passenger side! i then done it wet and it went up to 9. Now this basically points straight to the rings and an engine rebuild (bottom end). I dont know if its worth it though :( i could cry after spending so much on everything else and then finding this
