The turbo's are quite common on BMW's. Buy one thats had a turbo! My 530i petrol did around 18mpg around town.. 32mpg on the motorway.

If money is no object, it has to be the 535d. Best diesel every made! 286 bhp and if you want, remapped to 360ish! If it were me tho, id go for the 530d. I used to have one and got 34mpg around town, and it was fast enough really. More choice and cheaper. Depends what you want out of it.

I need to get my car to Zedworld. Im around 5 miles from them. My usual recovery man wants £50 to do it. Is it me or is that a little excessive? The front bumper got damaged when he got the car from Bristol for me too. Ive gone much futher for £30 in the past, i know the fuel has gone up but still... Anybody know of somewhere cheap?

I nearly bought one about a year ago. It was light blue (no leather, it was blue cloth) Somebody had poured white water based paint over it. If he had washed it off the nest day, it probebly would have come off. He waited for the insurance company to see it, who told him they'd pay £250 to clean it, he was expecting a full respray. We did a deal at £2500! C reg LPG with under 60k on the clock. His mate gave him £2500 instead, and i saw it a few months later all tarted up. I wonder how much he got for it???

Well.... Its seems like ive been working on the zed for months. (oh wait, it has been months!) This week was meant to be the week it burst into life. After getting it all together, it wouldn't start. Cranking, but no spark! After talking to Jeff and going through everything, nothing got it to work. I read the ECu and it was trying to give me this weeks lotto numbers! As advised, i left the battery off overnight, and got the all clear code in the morning. After trying to start it, got code 34. Im not a mechanic, but ive had my mate with me who is for most of the journey. He's put it down (he thinks anyway) to it being a faulty wire, somewhere between the fusebox, ECU and coils. With this meaning that the engine is more than likely having to come out, im running out of optimism. Ive been looking at buying another Zed, not found one i want yet but still looking every night! What to do, what to do, eh?

I bought a tailgate from him! As the advert said all parts are excellent etc, i didn't ask i just bought it. When it came, the back was rotten, and as it was very well protected (wrapped in a bin liner!!!), it was dented too. It was when we had the snow so took weeks to get it picked up..
