  11. right bear with me here driving through boldon (fancyish estate near me) and i spots a maserati, lovely light blue color and mentioned to my boss that i would have loved one of those but they are out of my price range my boss then told me that it is his mates and that he is selling it, had a couple of issues lately and he wants to sell one issue was that he sent it to london to a garage to sell and they kept the car and wouldnt give him it back, he went to court to get the car and has cost a fortune second issue was the exhaust was goossed and it was cheaper to get a stainless one made rather than buy a genuine one third issue was something to do with the heater controll panel which he sorted at a cost of about £600 fourth issue is that an engine managment light has come on but hasnt effected the car at all and even maserati in edinburgh (where he takes it for all servicing and probs) cant find ouit what is wrong the car has 33000 miles on it and when he bought it it had no keys and had all the locks and what not changed at maserati at a cost of quite a few thousand thre guy has his own accountancy business and is well loaded and the car want for nothing now here is the clincher and if i handnt had already bought the m3 i would have had it, my boss reckons he would let it go for less than 7k with the dash light fault as his missus is getting at him to get rid as he has spent so much on it lol now, if anyone is genuinelly interested in such a car i am willing to go round and take a few pics and get some more details and find out exactly what model and spec it is, please dont pretend to be interested just for the pics as im very busy ATM and havent got time to run about unless it is for genuine interest let me know what ya think
  12. welcome back again mate
  13. my dad was born into a dog racing family (oldest of 6) he is 56 and has been taking dogs racing since he could walk more or less proib is now, there are too many rules and regs and it spoils the fun of the game had some great times at the dogs and got to know some real characters lol (grew up with some gypo's lol)
  14. im getting him to keep our riddick looking trim and muscley looking lol
  15. exactly mate to put into perspective what this means for my dad, its like a 60 a day smoker giving up after 48 years smoking
  16. moved to correct forum bud top work mate
  17. there is cheating in every form of racing
  18. dont be fooled, there is as much if not more cheating in licenced than non, its the same as horse racing as for the cheats there are loads, some popular ones are feeding the dog before running, slows it down and gets you a better grade, or you bet another dog and slow yours down, knock them using tablets to make them lethargic (same thing), lead weights on the mussle so they run with the head pointing downwards instead of infront there are hundreds of ways
  19. non licensed is basically what it says, you can buy a dog, get it graded in (has to run a certain time over a certain distance before being allowed to be entered into a race) then enter your dog into a race and hope for the best, or do what most flappers do and cheat licensed (ngrc) means it has to be registered with a trainer that is registered with the track you want to run at, you cant keep the dog as it has to be in with a trainer and there is supposed to be no cheating, all races are run at level break and there aint much fun in that
  20. my dad has been racing greyhounds most of his life (no he didnt actually race the dogs himself), my grandad did it most of his life aswell, most of the flapping tracks (non licenece) have all nearly gone round these parts dog racing to our family was a way of life, everything was done to accomodate race night (5 nights a week), i even had a job when younger parading and taking on the dogs, everything in day to day life was based on the dogs been speaking to my dad tonite and he says that now 1 of the 2 left is on its last legs and once that goes he says thats it for him, he wont go racing again, he hasnt had a racer in for about a year-only rescue dogs it was quite shocking to hear this coming from my dad, he is a well known character around the flapping track's and was very good at the game any other dog men on here???
  21. happy bday bud
