by increasing the compression ration there is a huge chance you will get pre ignition ( ( det ) and possible total destruction of your engine as the air fuel mix is pushed in under pressure anyway ....To turbo or superchareg a HC engine will raise the compression ratio even higher and probably blow the heads clean off the block , or holes in the side of the block or crank case ...........pressure if high enough will find a way out and its always the path of least resistance , ie the weak spot in the engine casting, worn piston ring, or near to failing gasket or seal ..............

where are you mounting the rad ? the tubbie seems to be close to where the rad should go , do you forsee any problems with overheating ? excellent project mate cant wait to see the results Steve

its also got more than twice the displacement in CC's and about the same weight , it has incredible tourque thats the difference i think.......

im changing over to twin electric fans and ducted air when i install my new FMIC i might even install a fan on the FMIC yet , dont know if i will gain anything by that or not

Hi Guys , as you know may know i am upgrading my zed to the next level , done the brakes , clutch , flywheel , pulleys , propshaft, suspension , interior leather retrim , now i want to take the engine to the next level , i am buying some GT600rs off smithy and 555 injectors , i have allready a FMI which will be fitted , i also bought an ECU upgrade chip from Andy P ( never used yet ) however after contacting him he has unfortunatley pointed out the upgrade chip is not mapped for 555 injectors so is of no further use to me , i also have a profec B boost controller , which chip would you guys recommend or which do you run ?? ,the ECU has been socketed already so it will be a simple job to change out thanks fellas :bow: :bow: Steve

id go for a lighter powder blue ( same colour as the Buggati Eb110 ) with maybe a darker blue in a pearl top coat t pick out the bulge in the bonnet ( oooerrrr ) and rear spoiler and gold annodised rims .............would show off your hair better than yellow ...and what could you wear that matches yellow .........now blue , that easy jeans , t shirt , ................naked :))

Thanks jaffa i have Kirbz Border front mount IC and will be getting 555's and divorced downpipes dont want too much boost so not as yet planning forged pistons , only looking to run a streetable 400+ RWHP not into drag racing at the pod etc .........just want to humble a few local porsche owners at the lights and on the motorway i might give Smithy a ring see if he can pick them up cheaper , is it a good price for the GT2860rs then ?? ..........

barchetta ( little boat ) is a great little car but for every day use and practicality i would opt for the GTV ....especially if you are going to use it as well , .....barchetta's and Mx5's seem to be owned mainly by females with the occasional male pilot , but the GTV is unisex i supose , just my opinion , no offence meant gumball ..leave the MG alone ..underpowered and heavy and bad brakes the one i had on loan while my car was in being repaired was a dog ...........

can you measure at the fuel gauge connections ?? if so which pins , cheers Jay as im having problems with mine and want to check it ....it seems stuck at about 40% full .......... Steve

anything would be better than red stuff pads ..im surprised you can get them hot enough to work ........if you can get porterfield they are great , dont know if smithy can still get them or not ,
