Shall be buying all sorts for it no doubt! Dad's got a lens for me and a few other bits - if I'm not spending on a Zed any more I shall be spending on something to take car pics with!!

We have snow - lots of it
Not far at all, just Marc doesn't really do that sorta thing. He'd def do a day trip tho, Christmas market sounds lovely. If I drive down I use the park and ride, saves taking the car into the centre and its just so easy. Have you had a fat rascal? They are gorgeous. There's a Betty's in Northallerton so not far, one of the consultants who I worked with used to bring us one back when he went down the hospital for clinics. No wonder I'm fat!

Def take the Rav 4, not worth the risk - and def don't go out accross the Moors roads as you won't get far as they'll be closed! Head into town, York is a lovely lovely place, so many nice places to eat and go!

We have snow - lots of it
The roads are all main ones, you won't have any problems as we're in the town = the directions I sent really are v straightforward. The zed's under cover in the garage and the Probe's on the drive so once that's off the drive will be snow free so shouldn't have any issues, plus we have grit to put down Who's driving your TT home?

Cheers Richard, I really hope so. Loved the sold feel and smooth handling of it on the test drive. Heated seats on a snowy day were also a bonus J

Woohoo! I'm getting a digital SLR camera
Been wanting one for ages, soooo expensive tho. Happened to mention to my dad, who used to be a photographer, that I was saving for one, and he said "I'll send you my Canon EOS 400D as I have got a newer one and this one's just sat in the cupboard"!!! GET IN!!! Shame I'm just getting rid of the most photogenic car I have ever owned. Ah well, will have to go to lots of meets and take pics of your cars!! Xmas party?! Just got to pay for the courier from Pompey to Teesside! :thumbup1:

My new wheels
Ta! Its my first ever German car - said I'd always stay Jap but to be honest I am not mad on the jap family type cars, even if they are good. Always fancied a VW, never really been in a position to buy one tho. Was planning on a Golf or possibly Audi A3 but this Bora was local, in almost new condition and relatively low enough miles to get me through nurse training hopefully! Need to get over the gut wrench that will be waving goodbye to Zedward Sat morning. I've warned Marty that I will cry. Then once Ive got through that then I'm sure I'll enjoy the rock solid reliability of a top spec VW!!

Everything works, should be getting it next week (could get it Sat once Marty's got Zedward, sob! but not losing a month's tax for the sake of 3 days patience lol) It'll dink dank do me for uni with any luck and coz its a VW i should prob get a bit back for it when i'm ready for my next Zed....

OMFG How exciting!!!!!
Fab!Can't wait to see it!! Will tell my dad to keep an eye out for it in Pompey

student protests
Couldn't agree more, I wanted to reply something along those lines last night but was too tired and couldn't find the right words without being too inflammatory. Like you said, we need educated people with high aspirations to ensure there are innovaters/high tax payers/drs/academics etc. Like I said before I come from a very ordinary working class background and would never have been able to go to uni without funding. As it is, I have spent all my working life so far working in the Public Sector (and earning a pittance I hasten to add) hopefully providing a service and more than giving back what gained through any taxpayers money.....

student protests
I went to Uni a long time ago now, before the introduction of fees, but if they had been in place at the time, there is no way I would have been able to have gone. As it was I had to be one of the first intakes of students who had loans rather than grants! I still believe in the principle of free education for all at all levels although I understand why thats not feasible. I also worked all through uni, had lots of bar/shop/office jobs and had almost no financial suport from my family - if I still worked in higher education as I did for 7 yrs post graduation, I would have been joining the protests today
