Went to test drive the car. Mechanically it seemed pretty good. No knocks or squeals, drove straight, engine bay ok, has been looked after BUT. The power roof doesn't work! No mention of it in the advert which is a bit of a pisser!! So it's a no go. Back to the drawing board. And eBay lol

Lovely cars those! Way too far for me to travel tho, I'm at Uni full time then on placement until Easter, with 4 4000 word assignments to do, I'll be lucky to get the 6 miles to see the Golf lol! Shame as I had a Celica before and it was a great car. Off to see the Golf later on, only for a quick look. If its got potential I'll see if I can find anyone locally to look over it for me, I am not parting with any cash this time til I've had someone look at it. Whatever I buy HAS to be reliable, I've got almost 20 weeks on placement this year, I HAVE to be able to get there!

Like I said above, I just don't do French, its against my religion and I'd rather get the 29 bus lol

Up to a grand. But I don't do French, it's against my religion. Had several Citroen & Renault in the past & they've all had electrical problems so I'd never go there again. And Ian (Vodkashots) had a Laguna which was a nightmare so I'll avoid those thanks!

Need another runabout. The Lancer is fab, cannot fault it but its our only car and its difficult when we're both on placement and need to get to places when we're sharing. My uncle lives in Wanstead & whenever we stay there's always Lambos & Ferraris & top of the range Aston Martins just cruising round by his house. Spend most of the time we're there going out for walks car spotting (&wiping away drool lol)

Cheers fellas. All good here apart from laryngitis so I've almost totally lost my voice (probably no bad thing lol) & four 4000 word assignments that aren't gonna write emselves!! Also for the first time ever my lovely girl is at her dad's for Xmas eve so the house feels soooo weird. Can't wait for her to get home tomorrow! Right I'm off my chebs on codeine & ibuprofen so I'm turning in for the night & hoping Santa has me on his nice list! X

Thanks everyone. She's home now. Still in some pain but glad to be back. Hospital wards are not the nicest of places when you're poorly. I won't tell her too soon about the next op as she's a worrier & she needs to get over this first. Not only that but the consultant told us earlier that she has to have the packing from the wound removed under another general anaesthetic in two weeks time so we need to get through that first. On the plus side, I got my results for my first year & I passed my final assignment & portfolio so I'm officially allowed into my second year of training! Between now & then it may well be death by CBeebies lol. Thanks for all the good wishes x

Not me that's poorly but my gorgeous baby girl who has had a radial mastoidectomy for a cholesteatoma :( Consultant said her diseased ear was much worse than anticipated. Hence four hours of surgery. Worst bit is, we have to do it all again in 6-8 months time. I'm so upset for her. Before After Wish I could go through it for her. Can't bring myself to tell her she's got to do this all over again next year :( :(

Ahh Chase & Status did a set at Uni last year I wanted to go so much but we couldn't get a baby sitter for the night, bet they were fab

Ha ha good on ya! I had an awesome time the year I turned 30 & left my tit of an ex husband. No regrets at all. Liberating and fun :D
