I had a similar accident as a teen, went over the bonnet, it was daylight, the driver just pulled out but didn't see me. Was long before the days of the no win no fee vultures tho. Anyway, I got checked over at A and E and was bruised but ok. Bike looked fine, but my dad insisted on taking it to our bike shop just to be safe. Good job he did as the frame was fractured, I would never have known otherwise. So, your mate might have to be prepared to shell out for a new bike, or claim on insurance for this? I had to wait ages for the driver's insurance to pay out for my new bike :cursing:

OR you could just ask to see if your GP's runs a derma clinic where they just nip them off with a tiny hot wire,thus cauterising it at the same time, preventing bleeding and infection?! Failing that, you could tie clean cotton fairly tightly around them which cuts off the blood supply, leave it for a few days and they will drop off (like farmers do with lambs' tails lol) I wouldn't chop them off with anything, they have quite a good blood supply usually, could easily get infected

Its out of budget and would leave me with nowt to fix the issues with! Anyway, I test drove the red Saab 9-3 and the silver Saab 9-5 today. Silver one won it hands down and got a few hundred off the asking price too. Should be getting it Thurs or Fri with new MOT and air con re-gassed etc :winkiss:

Bottom line is I won't be truly happy til I get another Zed, but its just out of the budget unless I buy one with a million issues that I won't have the time, money or skills to fix. The Saab verts are really nice, I so almost bought one in the winter then decided not too - wish I had though!
