Yes boys n girs it was a good day indeed. First 300ZX cu.uk meet for me too, and first run out in my newly acquired slick top. As with other posts my thanks to Daves ZX for the super pics with mine first in the list!!!! And to Dave C for making that long haul down from the Wirral with that Conzult. Was a great relief to get a pass ticket on the car from the Conzult. But then it is an na. Lets hope it stays running sweet. A pre season meet/run next month at Santa Pod should be good if the weather is kind to us. Then we can find out whos really got the BHP in there and the bottle to use it , cos as we all know "when the flag drops ....the BS stops!!!!!!! Im not worried bout that cos Ive already got a long list of excuses ready for doing rubbish times..... Like ... Well its only an NA.... Ive not had the car long.... reaction times slow with increasing age... etc You know the sort of stuff. Theyre all mine! ... think of your own ones!!!

Since I have never driven a 300TT in my life,not even a standard one!, Im not going to be so stupid as ask for a go in this Beast! ( One benefit of increasing age is a modest increase in common sense!) HOWEVER ...... I would like to be a passenger for just a short trip some time just to feel wot its like! PLEEZE??? Ive got a spare £10 for petrol and maybe another £3.0 for a Tiny shot of nitrous. So is that enough for a 100yds? If so put me on the list as PASSENGER ONLY. (i'm not a coward.....just a realist...)

Paul WFx, here is question that only you can answer. Did you REALLY want a 300ZX with this particular set of mods or are you just buying it cos its available. Think carefully about the mods. The curent owner really wanted them cos he did them, but do you? How much value do you attach to them (over the price of a stock car)? And remember sods law will operate when ever you utter the phrase "I hope it doesnt go wrong" as you have just posted. The particular sub section of sods law that applies here is clause239B. paragraph 5a. Which says "if it can go wrong it will"...... Remember on 300Zx forum half the guys are broke due to their cars and the Traders(Bless them) are booked up for weeks repairing stuff that has failed due to sods law! IMHO.

Santa Pod 2005. I would just like to make a couple of points here:- 1. There already is a series of dates for 2005 set out for The Z Club Drag Challenge, which Mike Feeney has already posted on here, and to which he has invited 300ZX co uk members to join. Dates are all in a post under National Events. Action starts on 13Mar. there are 4 classes for Z32s. NA Stock, NA Modded. TT Stock. TT Modded. Plus a SUPER mod class. So all we need to do is tag along and either join in the Z club series, or run the same classes alongside for 300ZX co uk people. Im already a dual member and will be there on the first date. 2. the above class structure means that even grumpy old gits such as me in bog standard cars requiring a bit of TLC can compete and win!!! in their own class, without feeling intimidated in any way by the super modded hot shots. THERE IS ROOM FOR EVERYONE. Last year was my first attempt at drag racing and im hooked now. When I first went I got lots of FRIENDLY HELPFUL advice from the experienced guys there. So no Pod virgins should feel anxiouis or intimidated. Just turn up and introduce yourself. There are always friendly faces from both clubs around. If the weather is kind to us in Feb then we could also have a "NEWBIES/HOTSHOT SHAKEDOWN" informal day to get the season off to a good start.

Greg accordingto the AZEV web site it looks like the M design might also need a spacer, but I cant tell cos its in German, and doesnt get translated when you click for english. Shows sizes same as my AZEV C style . 8.5"front and 10"rear. HTH. Pete

I have done a similar conversion under Amber Valley Council, not a million miles away from yourself MantaV8. I took the forms along and had an informal meeting with a "council bod" who was surprisingly helpful! I actually needed only building regs(for a concrete sexual type garage) and not planning. Its all to do with % of total plot and distance from house etc! Its one of these cases when a little "bowing and scraping" might be helpful!! You can always run down the corridor afterwards shouting "officious barstewards etc etc" He came out twice to inspect the work!! Officious jobsworth!!!!

Silicone reducers 38mm to 35mm in straight and 90 deg bend type are shown in Demon Tweeks catalogue(Ive just looked) So Im sure other suppliers will have them. HTH. The orange silicone goo wont withstand the pressure! Best have a break for 24 hours and get some Lemsips down your throat, while the hoses arrive!!

Jaffa, the two unused ones are the genuine Nissan ones from Mike at MJP Eastern Auto. djtomo is going to have them. The two nylon bushes in the kit I got only needed a little amount of material removing to fit. But maybe there is more than one source for these kits. Mine had the blue/purple colouring on the lower part, but some I saw on ebay were all silver ally coloured TBH as a newbie to Z32 world I knew nothing about these kits till I saw one on ebay. It seemed good value at £35.99 so I bought it! An impulse buy??? Well yes, but I spent more than that on lunch for my daughter and me on Boxing day, so WTF?
