Reassuring to note that this forum does not have ALL the worlds idiots registered on it. There are at least six more out there bidding on this huge chunk of free fresh air. :p :p :p
  12. I saw a two light panel on ebay recently at £90 I think but there were not any lights in the price. HTH
  13. This is another one like "what colour is best"! Huge amounts of debate! After you have looked at some pics, get out to a meet or two and see cars up close. Its not always obvious from an internet picture. And the "how much money have you got sonny" factor is very important. There are cars on this forum with wheel n tyre combos that cost as much as my complete car! Dont act in haste, cos you may repent at leisure.
  14. Errr they didnt actually intend for them to be black. Some of them just turned that colour at night in the factory when they turned the light off. By the next day they had gone so far down the production line that the painter couldnt reach them. Then nobody could rember what colour they were supposed to be???????? Daft Bar stewards ! :xxx: They were meant to be RED!
  15. I aint for swoppin my Z32, Ive only just got it!.ive also kept my 71 240Z, that aint goin anywhere either. So for £15 to £20 i would just add on a 350Z(JDM specs now in this price range to buy). Greedy, :o no I dont think so! What are big garages for?? Just to fill with cars methinks :D It also stops you :duffer: all the money :)
  16. Your credit card will melt :D :D :D Now to be a bit more serious. Look on the Santa Pod web site for all the rules re helmets, clothing etc. Look on this 300zx site under National events, and Midland events. There are plans afoot to have an early and informal meet at the Pod in Feb for veterans and virgins. One of the ideas here will be for veterans to help the virgins a bit. Then come March we will get down to the slightly more serious business of blowing each other in to the boondocks.
  17. I agree 100% Just imagine the reaction of a prospective new member when they first log on, maybe to their first ever forum, and they find all hell let loose. Stickers are a good cheap advert, but their benefit can soon be cancelled out by inapropriate mud slinging when you look up the web site you have seen on a sticker.
  18. Any of you who are also members of the Z Club forum will know that this happens over there too. Its not unique to 300ZX co uk. Its just my personal opinion but I think there are still many car owners out there who sincerely believe that "they are not car club people". I have had it said to me more than once. I dont think its a situation unique to the various z/zx clubs i think its more universal. Now this brings on the following debate...... Is it the image/public face of car clubs that is to blame??? Or are there just lots of truly shy and timid or anti-social people out there??

At the risk of stating the obvious, just follow my lead for parts you are not sure of .....Take the old part with you when buying the new part. DO NOT leave the shop/parts counter till you have checked that whatever you have new is the same as the old. I have done this for the last 30 years whenever I am unsure. It never fails.IMHO. HTH
  20. Just keep an eye on the EVENTS and MEETINGS SECTION especially the MIDLANDS section. Always a good opportunity to see a wide variety of cars and owners all at once. Usually the offer of treating us to a beer will get you the info you need! ;) :duffer: :hyper: = :D

No I didnt really think so, but it got the result didnt it! So wot you reckon we should do then? Its your meet....

Camping???   And after meeting you yesterday , I had you down as a sensible kinda guy :) Its FEBRUARY FFS :nono: I know Chunk is totally mad, but theres no need to have more than one mad sod in the group!! Why dont we try and find a nice cheap B&B nearby, preferably licenced or next to a pub? Maybe we can do a "group buy " on accomodation? Chunk wot woz the place you knew of?? Name would be useful as opposed to "somewhere in Wellingborough" :slap: Maybe we have a MEMBER who lives near the pod who could do some research on this accom thing?? BTW who is bringing the snow plow to clear the track? FFS. ive just been thinking about all this........ .......conclusion...... We are all barkin mad to even contemplate it!!
  23. Passengers only EH??? I reckon that makes me top of that list then since I put up the first request in that category!!! :hyper: I could maybe find another couple of quid for a second shot of nitrous! Form an orderly queue BEHIND ME ;) :D :D :D
  24. Dave, I wont be givin up mate, its just nice to have a couple of excuses lined up just in case you need them!!! Im up for the light reading bit .thats ok Its the "spending bit " that follows that concerns me. :( Interesting though. I know a man who lives in Kelvedon Hatch. Talks just like you!! ;) ;) Maybe you met him once????
  25. 19V when eng running might indicate a faulty voltage regulator which is built into the alternator. This in turn will do or has already done in the battery, Faulty starter motor may be possible in addition. Any competent auto electrician should be able to check this out. But take it back to supplier for rectification. Its their responsibility.
