Compression test
AFAIC you are being advised correctly. A compression check on each cylinder will give a very good indication of the general health of the unit. All the plugs need to be removed and the compression tester screwed into each cylinder and a reading taken after cranking the engine. Straightforward stuff and shouldnt take long/cost much. Ask some of the engine experts on here what a good figure would be. Ryan at Z Tech or Mark/Topless at Zen garage, or any other member with engine building experience.

Lexan light weight glass
Thanks for the heads up . I was already aware due to having it on rally cars in the past. Not having any rear wiper anyway. And probably go for fixed sides with sliding cover over port-hole on the side. Probably have a NASCAR style support bar down the middle of the hatch too. The whole project is really frustrating at the moment. I have the ideas and the budget to do it but NO time!! LOL I HATE WORK!!

Lexan light weight glass
Perhaps Chunk will want a set too???? Ive already found someone in Nottingham to do the rear hatch window in polycarb. Just got to get him a template made. He reckons the flat 3mm sheet will fit if held in place with some small bolts and some bonding silicone.

Lexan light weight glass
i need some Lexan/polycarbonate. door glasses maing for my SWB 300.Either direct replacements that activate electrically or preferably fixed in place with sliding hatches in them Rally stylee. So let me know what happens. Not bothered one way or the other about the legal side. Its illegal to drive over 70mph.

Slicks --> stock rims
'bout £300 a pair fitted. Wear rate factor of 50 as opposed to normal Kumho 712 of 200. So much softer. Two tread grooves with 5mm small side treads with 3mm. rest of tyre is rubber. Dangerous in the wet. When I come off the end of the strip they pick up dozens of little stone/grit pieces. But I think the Mickey Thompson ET Radial is even softer.

Mids meet pics
Well Midlands group have sat a precedent here I think, its up to you Legrath and other organizers now... There are two sides two this idea. One is that it is an excellent way of putting names to faces for future reference, especially at the bigger national meets. The second side Im afraid to say is that we are all exposed to being "photoshopped" now!! LOL. I think the concept is worth pursuing to encourage easier interaction between members. 300ZX co.ok is a great social car club which Im proud to be part of. This photo just illustrates the appeal of the club to a wide range of people from all walks of life and in many age groups. LONG MAY IT CONTINUE :bow: :bow: :bow:
