guys, any ideas whats causing this, the car has stood for a year ive had missfire prbs all resolved now its firing on all 6, at start up a very loud clicking noise its constant after that also its now starting to backfire , it bangs then theres a sort of air sound do you think its reated or do i have 2 problems any help much appreciated ps many thanks to geordie liam for the the cable tie solution it worked a treat on the coilpacks

hi guys i'm after some help again, does anyone know where i can get a wiring loom, the one that runs from the ptu to the coil packs its a series one ptu i have which is working fine (touch wood) the reason i need the loom is the ends that fit to the coil packs 4 are cracked and have bits of plastic missing which is now causing number 5 to miss thanks guys

guys zed had been running on 5 i have a back problem ( kills me to bend) took it to a garage they fitted new plugs, when i got it back it appears to be running on 4 like a tractor loud clicking noises seems to be 4 & 5 thats off, real sickener ive checked that the coil packs are all secure any ideas i could try cant get it to a specialist (diff garage) for two weeks cheers guys

did mine not hard job, fairy liquid, , do both pipes , oh yes and u will lose a few layers of skin

zed off the road for 10mths , long story house burgled keys stolen , lost job, anyway , i had'nt started the zed since then, today new keys etc it would'nt start thought it was the battery tried a different one which i knew was working off a 4x4, still getting the same from the starting motor the spinning turning sound but not starting , up until now never had any bother from it is there anything i can do to try and get it going any help appreciated thanks guys

thanks guys and to mental for his offer i spoke to cobra who said send the unit to them they will re-program it but dont supply keys , i went back to autosounds in newcastle asked to order keys ,they said it wont work, went back to cobra who say it will (madness) unit going back to cobra getting keys elsewhere again thank you

hi guys, i am a novice when it comes to the below im trying to get my alarm/immobiliser sorted , in a nutshell, the radio keys and the touch key were stolen (house burgled), its a COBRA 7928 alarm. ive been told by the company who fitted it originally that they cant help because i have lost the touch key so the system cannot be re-programmed does that sound right, and say they want £150+vat to take out the alarm ive still got all the original paperwork with the pin number etc new locks now on the car , (car stuck in my garage) soon as battery connected alarm blasts zed. is a auto its stuck in park any thoughts cheers

thanks guys for taking the time to help , scoobie had all locks changed and immob as has my wifes and daughter its just the zed to sort , not covered for full lock change on ins policy. just wondered about the new key option but and its a big but its an import thanks again to everyone. ken

hi guys, my home was broken into they were after my sons imprezza , stole all the car keys in the house zed inc , my question is can you get replacement keys , i noticed a serial number on the ignition barrel,my next problem would be the immobiliser, im looking for the easiest/cheapest option if poss as im currently unemployed. thanks guys

wire coat hanger , top of the window ,re seal, hook it onto the boot release lever, really easy to get in climb in boot mine locked me out

hi guys, my house was burgled they stole my sons car and other vehicle keys, mine included and some household items ive been unemployed of late and the big thing is the zed is in my garage uninsured whats the best way besides breaking glass etc for me to get into the zed as you can imagine my job seekers allowance aint gonna help me much my cash flow is zero my plan is to try and dismantle immobiliser and fit new ignition lock big ask but can anyone help thanks minder

Hi guys , just a minor thing , had the zed 8years its allways done this, the fascia cluster has that plastic rattle, rubbing noise , ive tried slackening screws and tightening screws, its not coming from the two bolt on pods its the main housing where the speedo etc is,,anyone cured this, cheers

had same prob, after the zed warmed up really annoying, took zed back to garage he skimmed the pads so it does nt catch the lip on the disc, job done ,ps cleaning and copper paste did'nt work

Try these, my zed had a hole in the drivers seat the size of a tennis ball and various scuffs , typical crap nissan leather. this is a kit its not cheap £50 , when i looked at the photos on the site I thought id never be able to to it, it took me about an hour the result is amazing you cannot tell there was a hole, i spruced up the passenger seat a week later, my seats are black leather, hope this helps,, Ken http://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/Leather_Repair

ade 41, hi I had replacement turbos done by jeff at zedworld,he's a nice enough bloke but he said he'd road tested the zed he had'nt where he's situated its wall to wall traffic (once you leave his farm),when i drove it all sorts of muck came out of the exhaust for miles and miles, also i got it back with an oil leak on the new turbos and he let me drive it home (300mls) with no battery stay or ties and various sensors not reconnected and i live in newcastle, maybe i was unlucky?, it took several phone calls and quite a wait for the battery stay to be sent,also he said he would send photos he took whilest the turbos were being replaced they never turned up, he said (" bring it back") but its to far away, same for you to cheers minder
