just found a non turbo s15 for 6.5k, but would only get a turbo, cheapest turbo s15 ive found is 10.5k a very nice yellow one :bow: yep the s14 is very dull inside, ive always liked the last 200sx which is basicly what the s14 is but i prefer the silvia badging plus theres plenty of s14s for 5k.

im defo strugling to find one for slightly under 10k, if i do sell up looks like i may have to go for an s14 instead, i think its the exclusiveness(is that a word) that im after, i just like to have something that bit diferent, i think im past the speed freak stage. looks im after. if i keep the zed expect a few nice/diferent touches, well in my opinion anyway :wack:

id want as much over 5k as pos! i have some cash to spend but looking at the prices i may have to go for an s14 unless i get lucky and find an s15 for around 8k. im looking at about 3k to sort my car but this is where my emotion get tested. including buyng my car 3yrs ago ive spent 11k on it, if i then spend another 3k then thats 14k!! 14k on a 16year old car that i can only sell for around 5k am i crazy!!!

firstly some new wheels, a vented carbon fibre bonnet but il be having it partly sprayed leaving just behind the vent to the windscreen carban fibre, and a few other little touches as well as a bit of bling under the bonnet, plus new shocks, clutch.

right guys, the thought of selling is ripening in my head!! i love my zed to bits but im not sure if i can warrant spending the money on it that i need to spend to get it looking how i want. im thinking of selling and putting the cash towards a nissan silvia s15. Im not definatly going to sell up although the thought as been in my mind for a few weeks now. no doubt a good wash and polish and a nice drive out will cure me, but as of this moment im searching the net for s15 silvias. what is the foam core exactly, and where did you get it from? also how is the caron fibre laid over it? is it easy to bend into shape? sorry for all the quessies.

ive had mine over three years now, i was the first british owner other than the garage that imported it in, and only had the MAF go bad on me. id just like to find out if theres been any other mods ftted i dont know about just be cool to know about its past chequered or not.

it would be the whole difuser, the width of the back end. ive been tryin to find a pic but cant seem to get one at the minute.

Im thinking of making a rear difuser for my Vielside C2 rear apron from some carbon fibre sheeting! just wondered if anyone has had any experience of making stuff out of carbon fibre. how easy is it to use? any tips etc.? cheers si

Any idea if you can find out history of jap imports, or of any japanese based 300zx forums, my car didnt come with much paperwork but lots of decent goodies fitted, including quite a quite expensive NISMO Gmax clutch and fly wheel, yet doesnt seem to have the mods to warrant such an expensive clutch or at least no mods that i know of. i know you shouldnt buy an import with no history but you know what its like when you get in a car and something just clicks. i know its a long shot but i just thought if i asked about on some of the jap forums i may find somethin out good or bad, ya never know. cheers si

i never said or thought the zed was a supercar i was just comenting on how well it stood up to the supercars OF ITS DAY. and who knows with a diferent badge on the bonnet maybe it could have been. so maybe we should finaly draw a line under this thread or even this subject. the 300zx is NOT a supercar, never has never will be! anyway im off now to wash and polish my "SUPERCAR"

if you stick a 355 kit on an MR2 its still an MR2! my point was if Ferrari built the 300zx and it had a Ferrari badge on it would it then be a REAL super car, basicaly what im saying is that the 300zx is not a supercar but only becuase of the badge and mostly becuase of the price tag. by the way this thread was based on the zed been a 90s supercar not modern day, i doubt it would do much up against a koenigzegg or a Ferrari Enzo.... y know what im sayin.

what about the Skyline GTR that was classed as a modern day "supercar" but that carries a Nissan badge.
