Hi Guys. Sorry I didn't have time to stop and say hello to some of you right at the end of the Saturday Session. You were all hanging around the silver Z with the dents and scratches, and I papped at you all. (I was in the Pearl White J-spec with Bomex front Bumper. Not sure who the Scottish guy was asking for Chunk either, seemed like a nice guy though. I was a bit dissappointed with my 14.7 @ 97mph, the start line was real slippy though and the car was getting bogged down in 1st. It really annoys me @ Pod when they are running the Jet cars on a busy day. £25 for 3 runs isn't my idea of value for money either.. Oh well. Hope you all had a good time!!

It'll be close upto 100mph, then he'll get whooped. Trouble is with any Audi Quattro, they suffer huge power loss through the transmission. Which is why most two wheel drive performance cars will give them a bit of a whipping after a ton. Similar to Scoobies I guess..

Well I followed SkylineDave's advice and left the shifter in at 2. Shouldn't this just permanently keep the car in 2nd Gear? Cus if so.. the Car's still shifting from 1st to 2nd and back again like it's in normal drive.. Is that right? f00k me.. I thought buying an automatic was the answer to less stressful driving.. doh!

Hey I'm not too worried about Economy, but when I'm only doing 30mph for 10 minutes to work, I don't tend to have the Turbos glowing by the time I get there if you get my drift.. I've just moved to the Zed from a 300bhp Supercharged Golf VR6 so I've had shares in BP for quite some time now! LPG? f00k that!! Steve J - I'm from Short Heath, it's classed as Willenhall but I'm a Walsall boy through and through!

I'll let you know mate. To be honest, if autobox is going to be this much hassle over and over, I'd rather just make the transition to Manual. I'll keep you posted.

I reset the ECU then checked the diagnostics and everything is ok on the electrical side of things by the looks of it. I can't believe my rubbish luck.. Looks like a Manual Conversion after just a week..

Well the Gearbox oil is nice 'n' pink.. No burning.. Any other suggestions other than 'It's time for a new box?'

Well I've had my Zed all of a week, first time I get to put my foot down properly, and I manage to bounce off the limiter in 2nd!! Not good I know.. 1st and 2nd are fine, but it just won't shift from 2nd to 3rd. It's been suggested that there might be a problem with my TPS, but I'd be suprised if it's that when it's changing from 1st to 2nd just fine. But hey.. what would I know? I've only been a Zed owner a week! Is there anything I can try guys? HELP!!

Hi Guys. I picked up my Zed this morning (Jap TT).. I'm still a bit new to it all, lots of previous experience with other performance cars all manuals. So could someone give me a quick rundown on what all the gizmos do on my gearbox. 1) Overdrive 2) TA Switch - Hold, Power and in between. I've got a vague idea what everything does, but you are the experts, so I'll let you go into detail to put my mind at ease. Also - What's the most economical setting for pottering around? Cheers you lot. I'll introduce myself and my car properly once I've got my subscription sorted, and hopefully see a lot of you at the next Midlands meet. I'm from Walsall!
