  1. Thats fair enough, I might unmask the reg then, nothing to hide. The last MOT only had a couple of advisories on it which have been dealt with. It is genuinely great condition. I'll be putting more photos up this week, which areas specifically would you want to see pictures up on there?
  2. Is there a good way for me to tell if it's an early or late 1994? And 2006 is on there automatically from the information autotrader found from the reg which would be it's import date. I'll see if I can edit it to a more accurate 1994. I'll put some more photos up this afternoon!
  3. Hey guys, I am regretfully selling my Z! I have it up on autotrader (2006 Silver Nissan 300 Twin Turbo Manual 3.0 for sale for £16,000 in TELFORD, SHROPSHIRE (autotrader.co.uk)) and it's been up there for a couple of weeks now but I've had no calls or real enquiries. Would you say I'm in the right price range? Any recommendations on where else to advertise it or how to sell it? Thanks!
  4. Hey guys, Finally got my 300zx back on the road after some pretty extensive repairs and a respray! Since the MOT I've found that my front and side passenger indicators aren't working. They also don't work when the hazards are on so probably nothing to do with that. Any ideas what could cause this?
  5. Hi guys, My Z has a touch of rust around so I'm looking at getting a complete respray. Anyone know which are the best body shops around the midlands to get this done? The rust isn't too severe but the silver is looking a bit aged so I'm thinking it's probably best just to give it a respray, it'll be in the same colour. Anyone know approx how much I should be paying for it also? Cheers!
  6. I did used to have a white one, but someone bumped me off the road in it. :(
  7. I have had this in Lee's garage, this appears to be a headgasket failure and I'm going to need a new engine - anyone know where I could start looking for this?
  8. How much would you want for them medallion man? I'm not gonna be able to fix it until after the new year anyway!
  9. So this ended up being the coil pack, for some reason when warm the coil pack doesn't spark - checked the pack on other HD leads and doesn't work. So, where is the best place to buy a single coil pack?
  10. Unfortunately not as it was getting dark. How would you identify which one? Pull the tension lead and see if it gets worse?
  11. Thanks groover. I'm thinking of taking it to Jeff, he is pretty close by. I took out my coils to give the plugs a once over because after restarting my engine warm this morning it was firing on five.. I noticed one of them was different to the others. Most of the coil packs on the inside had what looks like a spring they use to make a connection to the plug, but one of them looked like it had a black nub. Is this what they're meant to be?
  12. The revs do change, I have noticed this earlier. They increase.
  13. I do have another PTU, so I'll go ahead and do that as it takes seconds. The thing I find odd about it though is the fact that if I start the car from cold, it seems completely fine and stays like that until I turn the engine off and start the car again. Any idea why this would be the case?
  14. Awesome, thanks for the help. This gives me a more solid direction to look.
  15. Thanks guys, I really appreciate the help. The thing that makes the problem strange is the fact that when starting from cold, I could run the engine for hours perfectly. It's only when it restarts from warm that the problem occurs. The car is difficult to start when warm, idles perfectly then starts stumbling/hesitating at RPM above about 2500rpm or so. I have already replaced the MAF, and checked the filter etc. I have checked the relays and the contacts seem good. I have checked the contacts on the TPS, PTU (I will be trying a known working PTU tomorrow morning) and the small sensor on the metal pipe at the front (couldn't remember the name.). As I say, the strange thing about this is that the problem doesn't introduce as I'm driving. It's only when I restart the engine when hot/warm.
  16. Okay, so this problem is now quite a bit stranger. Had a good look at it this morning, checked earths relays unplugged various sensors etc. Car was running perfectly, thought I had sorted the issue. So, I stop the car then start it again and it starts missing again, at around 2000rpm. What would cause it to run perfectly, then turn the engine off and on again and start missing again. As I said the RPM gets lower that the missing starts the warmer the engine is. I am completely lost here. Is there anyone in the Telford area that would be willing to pop over and give me a hand? I would really appreciate it.
  17. This is now an intermittent issue - my car was completely fine on the way back from work. Does this change the fact that it might be the coils/spark plugs? I'll be checking tomorrow anyway, just looking for ideas!
  18. Well to start with it's smooth up until about 3-3.5k but as time goes on over a short period it gets worse. Above that it immediately starts sounding rough like a switch and refuses to go any further. Possible it could be firing on less than 6 cylinders but I'm not really sure what that would feel like
  19. So, the problem is back again after an hour of being turned off. Checked all of the tension leads again but no luck. The car was running perfectly for the 30 minutes or so we were testing it. Turning it off and coming back to it an hour later and back to having the exact same issue. Car when cold will reach 3000rpm normally, this gets progressively lower as the car warms up and eventually can't even get to 1300-1400rpm. Checking coil resistance tomorrow - does this sound like it could be the issue? When the car was working okay earlier, it literally didn't miss a beat for about half an hour. Can't think of what it could be.
  20. So...one of the high tension leads was a little loose to the coil pack...... I swear I had checked them :whistling:
  21. Still not had proper chance to look at it unfortunately, although the car is now getting to 4000rpm normally and stumbles there instead of 2000rpm. It's very odd, but I am pretty sure it's a coil or plug.
  22. Where is the O2 sensor to unplug?
  23. I've already tried fitting a spare MAF buddy. Doesn't seem to have resolved the issue and the car still acts strangely when in limp mode.
