  1. Thanks SMW... I will let you know how I get on. If I need to borrow it, perhaps we could agree some sort of deposit to set your mind at ease? Ill check out HSS hire see if they have them available also.
  2. Canvey is just down the road so details would be great, thanks.
  3. Hi All, Does anyone have a MIG welder that I could borrow (would chuck a few pints your way as a thank you) for a weekend or is handy with a welder that I could pay to do part of my sill for me? The dreaded MOT has come round and I don't think it will pass as they are currently. Thanks in advance, Tom
  4. My thoughts exactly, I can't see a problem if it is done correctly. I did mine months ago and they have been perfect! A lot of garages worry me!!
  5. How is it risky to rebuild a caliper?

  8. Super thanks, know of any sources for the master to slave line?
  9. Hi All, When I depress the clutch it drains all the fluid. Therefore, I am shortly going to replace the master and slave clutch cylinder and fit a braided clutch line. Does anyone know how difficult it is to access the cylinders? Is there anything else that I should change/uprate whilst doing this? Many thanks in advance, Tom
  10. Id love to come again but my car won't hold clutch fluid :(
  11. thanks for all the replies, need new master and slave clutch cylinder - seem like a pretty good bet!

  13. I have had car go through MOTs with the rear stripped out but I have always taken the rear belts out aswell.
  14. I don't have a set budget, was looking into cost of options then to make an informed decision :)
  15. Hi, I have tried the search but not had much luck. Anyway, I am in need of new turbos or a kit to rebuild mine. Does anyone know where I can get a kit or the best place to get new turbos, which ones and how much I can expect to pay? If I uprate the turbos is there much else I need to worry about apart from injectors - I already have FMIC, exhaust, induction. I am going to attempt to do this myself. My friend is a really good mechanic but has limited time so will turn to him to get myself unstuck if needed. I have read on the forum that it can be done without lifting the engine but not found any guides on this. If I do lift the engine is there anything that is worth changing while its out or will this just open a can of worms? Also my car has developed goose honk so I am assuming I need to change the recirc's = bailey DV30s if I am correct? Or some atmospherics but plenty of threads on this Many thanks in advance
