Having just gone through a claim myself for the very same thing I was lucky that I got offered a Toshiba Satellite Pro as my old ones replacement. You are not getting shafted at all because you are getting a brand new laptop for same or greater spec than the one you broke. Although £125 excess is yucky I only paid £50. You really should go for an Intel Laptop as they dominate AMD, you can refuse that laptop and ask for another but they will all be around the same spec. I refused an Acer because they blow chunks and was very happy when the Tosh was offered.

Dell Alienware 2nd'd. Mac's are overpriced fasion accesories, although I am an iPhone owner and iPad fan. But as far as laptops go Alienware are great, does everything a Mac can do plus runs everything a Mac isn't compatible with.
