Please help!! i have a 1993 300zx t/t with the pre cat in place . I want to get a straight though exhaust for performance. Where can i get 1 as i understand that its quite awkward cos of the pre cat which i also want either removed or knocked through!! Can i just knock all the cats through and use the standard exhaust ???

Im about to gut the cats on my 1993zx and want some advice on a couple of things. 1) does the 1993 t/t IMPORT have a precat or is that just the uk?? And if so is it easy to take it off to gut ( i know i have to put back on , if i have 1 ) 2) Is it just simple as taking the centre pipes where the cats are on , knocking the cats through , then putting them back on with new gaskets?? any advice appreciated P.s. Dont worry about advice on the MOT im not worried about that. Thanks

I have a 300zx tt 1993 and need to remove the crank pulley to change water pump. I have tried putting it in 1st gear and brakes on put still it spins. I know nssan use the crank pulley locking tool but i cant seem to find where to get one. Please can someone help me get this dam thing off as cant drive car at mo !!! Also once bolt is off then any ideas of an easy way to remove the pulley without a hammer???? Help pls

what is a good remap chip to go for and where is a good place to get it fitted and setup ??

I have a 1993 t/t 300zx and wanna know what the situation on detonation is with them. I had an impreza before which blew up twice due to det so am very wary these days!! Do the have sensors already to detect it or what can i do to make sure this dosent happen. I already use optimax and will be using octane booster to try and keep it up to jap spec petrol , but is there anything i can do like an ecu remap to uk fuelling ??? Help please!

the rattling was the water pump , the water leak was the overflow in the wing , new pump went on , no overheating now and no noise!!!!!!! YAY

when the 1993 tt manual is in low recs i can hear a jinging noise. very strange , cant really explain it apart from it sounds exactly like a metal jingling of some sort seens to die away at higher revs and alot lowder at low revs. Any ideas anyone ??????

i need some advise, i am gonna change the exhaust and air filter on my 300 and want to know what is the best exhaust to go for. I want to get rid of the cat completely if i can ..can i do this????????? Also is it best to go for a handmade exhaust like a powerflow or buy one and get fitted like a blitz?? Also do i need to change the downpipes to gain more power too?? Secondly the air filter , Im looking for a dual intake kit but most i see are just the one filter , i have been told that the dual intake is better is this right?? Which one should i go for ?? Where can i get these parts at a good price please???

looks like a bit of a coolant leak in that case , where can i buy the replacement hoses at a good price please??

The smoke / steam is more like condensation not actual oil smoke. It is slightly wet above the passenger side light so think there is a bit of either water leak or maybe either this common fault with the rad cap and steam is getting out causing it. Def no oil leaks at all and water is normal colour. Car water temp is not moving and stays low. Where could i take it near me that knows about 300zx's?? just to get the car checked out, but isnt gonna rip me off !!! as the steam when i stop is gonna get annoying . im in surrey any ideas???

Hi everyone , just picked up my 300zx tt manual last night and love it . Only a couple of things. When i stopped after driving home about 50 miles , There seemed to be a small bit of steam / smoke coming from under the bonnet , after a min or two it goes. what could this be ?? is this common?? Also there was a small bit of water dripping from under the car. cant see any major probs but apart from these the car is mint.
