  5. my engine was run in hard like in the motatune link posted earlier , Car now dosent use oil and results are more than impressive !
  6. The td05-16g make realistically about 345-365hp @ 22 psi per turbo according to the compressor maps
  7. 2 x td05-16g's making 800bhp ?? dunno about that close maybe not 800 though , Id say 650 ish
  8. Stick with what u really want paul, BUT as you know same as Cybernet , i also used the same mechanic..
  9. Not sure mate , certaily pulls like a train , Its mental. but its all addictive as u all know..enough is never enough.
  10. Done !! ha ha Well hopefully maccas car will be ready for a good outing soon so I think that would be interesting .. :nana2: :nana2:
  11. Not been up against much yet mate , car will only be finished off ready to roll this weekend but i anialted a RS4 on the way back from the rolling road and a carrera 4S
  12. Gearbox is a stock one at the mo mate and its holding the power fine !! mad huh. They really are hardcore little cars. I know it wont last forever running this power so im having another stock box rebuilt after bring cryo-treated and shot peened. But on top of all that I also have a full dog gear set waiting to be put in a spare box when i can be assed LOL :hyper: :hyper:
  13. Well bud mine is the highest powered early evo ( evo 1-3 ) on the MLR at the mo but when u get to evo 4+ then there are quite alot with all similar power and higher !!
  14. pic of the beast on the rollers too
  15. sorry guys this is the latest dyno fugures now . STILL ON TESCO PUMP GAS but fuelling issues all sorted !! 621.1bhp and around 530Ft LBS
  16. yes mate , i am considering that it was all done for under 15k and figures are all on pump fuel NOT race and all at 2.1 bar so next step is to raise to 2.4 bar and use race fuel and advance that timing ..cant wait !!!!!
  17. Soon mate , Just finished the new fuel system and also the new 4 pots and wheels and there is a few events coming up which it will be entered for so il give u a buzz matey.. just bring a spare pair of pants
  18. the evo 8 gsr weighs 1410kg or the rs version weighs 1320kg hence why i opted for the early evo 2 as they weigh 1240 gsr version or like mine the rs version which is 1170 kg
  19. 2k for tyres ha ha dont be silly , they are cheaper than zed tyres , Serviceing is every 4500miles BUT isnt a full service is basics like oil and fluid changes, Cambelt it the 60k mile one and servicing is even cheaper than the zed by along way . look here for servicing charges..cheap cheap !! : http://www.rgmotorsport.co.uk/services.htm Yes clutches should be fine but all depends how u drive and if u launch the car , if you drive hard and launch then expect to change ur clutch with an uprated one then u will be fine. Also the fq300 is 300bhp same as the fq320 is 320 and the fq360 is 360bhp etc etc. The evo 7 + 8 are both 280bhp stock form unless u go for the lesser version of the 260. Not expensive to run unless u rag it again like any car ur petrol will drop but again no way will it eat anywhere near as much as the zed . A full tank will cost u £50 and u will get 200-240 miles out of it on average.
  20. best to drive one to make an opinion , The fq400 yes is a bit laggy, the top gear test was stupid. The zed does have top end but the evo out does it on handling and power to weight. Rapid cars as standard and good for 130-140 before it loses its band, I have the evo 7 1st but didnt get on with all the driving aids same as i didnt get on with hicas etc on the zed , But now i have the earlier evo and its been tweaked , then it will have no problem up against any other road car out there
  21. its rare for a later evo to suffer gearbox issues even early ones still very very rare
  22. evo 7's are excellent mate , The 7 chassis is 50 more rigid than the 6 too. Great fun car , easy to work on and very little problems mate. Im on the MLR too but they are a good bunch on there and very helpful. Plus the advantage is there are plenty of top tuners like rc developments , norris designs etc that can twaek them for you . Let me know if u need a hand as i had a 7 before i got my 2rs.
  23. For anyone interested : Well what a day it was . Mapped the car on the Rolling road and had some major fuelling probs which are Finally sorted. At the time it couldnt fuel at top end at all and pressure kept dropping off. So will be finishing the mapping over the next few weeks. Still made 452.4whp and 562FHP and made 430 odd FT/ LBS all on tesco 99 but there was so much left in her and the cams wernt even touched. Still I never expected it to all be plain sailing.
  24. experiences ive had in the past before my rebuild , on the cooling side were : Blocked heater matrix causing overheating and water dumping , once bypassed all fine a-z of overheating here also if it helps http://members.optusnet.com.au/markfield/overheating.html Karl
