  1. Hi guys looking for a good condition grey tweedy drivers electric seat or a set of front and rear leather seats. Can collect if fairly local to cambridge Thanks
  2. Amazing, I am going to have a word with the bosses and ask them about this and get something arranged. Would love to get some Z cars and older GT-R'S together for photos etc. . I am going to pester on other nissan forums to!
  3. Thanks guys, I joked ages ago that this would be a dream job so really pleased. If anything to have conversations with other car enthusiasts that come in with an intrest in the 370 and GTR. The training and stuff is a bonus so I can geek it out. On a serious note, we have a new showroom which will be Nissan 's new concept showroom opening in the next few months...would be pretty cool to have some 300zx ' s for pictures and stuff?
  4. Whilst im not the most active user on the forum and my Zed has been awaiting much needed attention sitting in the garage, I thought you guys might appreciate this. So i started a new job in sales at Nissan in december, So far loving it. We are what is known as a high performance center so we get all the bigger boys..370 and GTR, Being a massive car geek i love this. Sitting 5 feet away from a shiny GTR and Nismo 370z and GTR's in and out of the workshop ect.. Then much to my suprise I find out that each 'High Performance' dealership requires a 'Specialist' to sells these. After some pestering and shortly a shed load of training i am now officialy a 'GTR Specialist' which means i get this wicked buisness card and obviously get to drive it loads! Excuse the naff picture, its just the proof i was sent yesterday
  5. Hey, So noticed the powersteering fluid was low and topped whilst the mrs turned the wheel only to find a nice puddle under the car. Looks like the pipe that runs underneath to the pump, so wondering wheres the best place to get a new one? thanks
  6. mine will remain taxed and can still use it if the weather is nice, but that may be only once in weeks! would hate to be doing more damage than good by letting it sit. Still saves a few pennies on petrol by not, allowing me to buy some goodies for it!
  7. thanks guys, I gave her a good clean and wax earlier and covered it with a fairly snug car cover. Garage is just your standard jobbie, nice and dry inside but the door isn't brilliantly sealed so some moisture will inevitably get in. I left the handbrake off but will go disconnect the battery and check tyre pressures. when you turn the car over every now and again do you just start it and let it get up to temp? or take it round the block?
  8. I have just cleared out the garage so the Z can be stored for winter. My question is, what steps do I need to take as I will only use it rarely if at all over the coming months? never stored a car before so just wondering if I need to disconnect battery? remove any fuses? ect.... Any help appreciated Thanks :)
  9. Yep said have to wait 24 hours, which is just crazy! hopefully it is a weekend issue due to their matinence. I will give taxing via the phone a go tomorrow then
  10. So I insured my zed on sat morning and then needing tax went to do it online, but it said the car isn't insured. So I thought perhaps it takes a while to register. Today the dvla site was down untill 5.30 so I tried again just a minuite ago and same thing! Obviously I will give footman James a ring tomorrow but just wondered if it was a common occurance? I just want to drive my zed : (
  11. Small world! Yeah had a white na a few years back. Sadly haven't had a chance to take for a drive yet been really busy. It's killing me haha
  12. Thanks for the welcome : ) so I assume baz is a member on here? The photos were stolen from the eBay add. She is in need of a good wash and polish which I'm looking forward to!
  13. Hi guys, I have just bought myself a zed after selling my first one a few years ago. She's only a na auto but I was after a weekend cruiser, not chasing hp so less to go wrong! Anywho here are some pics She's rough around the edges and needs a lot of body work to be done but I'm glad to have a zed again : ) I will be picking your Brains shortly now doubt! I will also get a build thread up
  14. I had one on my FTO mivec and once you hit 6 thou rpm it sounded amazing!
  15. Thanks guys im going to go look at it over the weekend
  16. A friend of a friend has a nice zed that he wants to sell due to autobox driving in 1 2 and reverse but when in D it just reves going nowhere. Possible causes? I ask as i may pick it up cheap. if the autobox is dead how much of a ballache are they to change? easier to convert to manual? Thanks
  17. That looks like a bargain! very nice and clean.
  18. Thanks for the reply's guys. Bit like kid in a sweet shop at the moment as there are so many options! Bmw seems to be the way forward. well i have embarrassed much bigger cars on twisty A/B roads. Dont get me wrong on the straights most modern saloons would leave me for dead but the mx5 can take corners at speed. The engine being nice and revvy with a car that weights nothing means it shouldn't be written off so quickly :)
  19. Ok guys i am looking into getting a diesel daily and to use my mx5 as a weekend car. Looking to spend no more than 5k and under 10 years old pref sumthing with a touch of luxury leather seats ect and a bit of grunt. Looked at saab 93 / 95 Bmw 3 series and jaguar x type.Never owned a diesel before so any advice appreciated and any other cars i should look at? Thanks
  20. was sat in my office and heard the unmistakable sound of the zed's V6 rumble. sounded same when it zoomed off as mine did with the powerflow zorst! one day i will have another :( the sound made me very jealous lol.
  21. Ha ha i thought i was alone with my salad fingers watching :)
  22. Ahh i thought this was a thread about salad fingers! never mind
  23. Well I think the problem is pay(as im sure it is with every job) but retail is one of the worst especially for weekends as its no extra pay and so its only the teenagers that will do i.now if its a store of fair size and employs say over 100 staff then its gotta be very hard for a manager to make sure all the staff spend their working hours being productive, as the further it goes down the chain the less people care ie supervisors and lastly csa's who are getting minimum wage providing they are over 18 otherwise they will be getting very little pay and do it cause its easy and mum will stop moaning, so they could not care less about customer service or the company. Basicaly it will never get any better as the big companys will coninue to pay peanuts and therefore get monkeys! ( I am management at a big food retailer and worked from the ground up so i know what its like to be the lazy weekend staff :) but my store only has 38 staff so you will always get excellent service as i dont employ moron's lol )
  24. I thought there might be a little more in favour of the jap car lol, im in no rush so will take my time and test drive sum. its annoying that the s2000 is insurance group 20 and the others are 16. I will also have a look at merc slk's and bmw Z3/4
  25. Welcome
