You should never have sold the banana,be carefull trying to find a high powered one from Japan as it usally ends in tears:(Thats one of the reasons why I built my own. They are usally on their last legs so they are palmed off pretty cheap and people think they are getting real value. Ask Peter about the big spec car he imported with Greddy 18g turbos,some :xxx: used mesh on the side of the turbo instead of air filters BANG! ouch:(

Ok Dewi,sounds like your car was not set up right! Forged pistons are much stronger than stock and yes they can take detonation to a degree,but the key is to have your car set up correct or your forged pistons will also melt like ice cream they will just take a little longer to do so;) Yes you can use your old rods too. I replaced mine for H Beam and gave my old ones to Jock who said they were fine.
