ive owned 3 trans am's, 2 77's and a 78 and have very fond memorys of em:cry: and the most abused truck ive ever owned and just starts every day is my 94 cabstar..never lets me down and somtimes i enjoy driving more than the zed. my last cabstar 2.5d got me back from near stoke-on-trent about 65 mile with a tonn of roof tiles and a bone dry radiator with no ill effects:bow::bow: totally amazing engines

sorry to hear mike..but its no good injecting money into men and vans if you cant see a return atm.its hard to lay off but times like these its self presevation mate and try not to spend in a day more than you earn in a day;)..maybe a sole trader short term might be the answer bud

very impressed with the project mate but can i imput my thoughts if you dont mind....going back when i ran my 77 trans-am and a couple of sbc motors those mech secondries are are nightmare on the street,the transition to the secondries is sooooo much smother with vac and you dont get the small but very noticeable hesitation when you plant the foot...also its a shame your not sticking with the hydro lifters as again if its spending a lot of time on the street then reaching high rpm to utilise solids is going to give you about 7-10 mpg combined with the mech sec carb and from my point of view owning and enjoying a big V8 is producing peak power low down with bottom end grunt that could pull a house down..but whichever road you go down ime sure its going to be fantastic and look forward to the end result:)
