  1. I could be up for that, couple of wee niggles to try sort before then but all going well would be good to meet some new faces and see some zeds.
  2. Started my z32 up for the first time in 2 years and just about managed to get it to garage without it cutting out in the middle of a narrow street needing a jump. Oh, also had to remove targa and climb in and out as driver's door decided 2 years was neglect and refused to open for me inside or out. Now the side skirts are coming off for the first time in well over a decade to see how things are going under there. Fingers crossed!
  3. I'm possibly scrapping a 1989 z31 really soon so let me know what is on your wishlist and if I can salvage some bits from it for you I will. I don't have a workshop or anything so I'll be limited to what I can get off it but if you are desperate for some bits let me know and I'll see what i can do https://photos.app.goo.gl/WTNJ3swd3fN6kkQy6
  4. I'm embarrassed to admit how low the mileage achieved in either my z31 or z32. My milestone is keeping the z31 roadworthy (sort of!) for 12 years of ownership and nursing her to reach 30 years old. Sadly I think that's it for her though having looked at the welding required to mot again this week. Now big decision time! Keep, sell or brake. The z32 is in the garage needing work and hasn't been used really for a couple of years and I cant keep both off the road so maybe it will force my hand to bring the z32 out of hibernation.
  5. I'll maybe try him in future I'm just through in Glasgow. I seem to be the unlucky one as I sent mine the 300 miles down to Birmingham in early Spring this year but what I picked up several weeks later was a car that cut out on me at 70mph on the motorway several times during my 300 mile drive home as an issue I had reported wasn't looked into. The main job was done to get it running again but I wasn't told on pick up that several other jobs on the list weren't done including the cutting out when braking hard investigation - despite me emailing to check before booking a flight down that everything would be done in time and mentioning the specific jobs I hadn't had an update on by email over the few weeks it was there....and me not being in a rush to get it back I may add, just wanted the thing 100% for Spring and Summer this year. A couple of other little jobs just hadn't been been done either and little things like hid kit just being left unsecured meant that a freshly installed replacement power pack gave up within 4 weeks! I had asked that they be installed out of site under the centre nose panel but instead they were just stuffed under some wiring unsecured behind the headlights....so my experience was not of the quality others all seem to have had. So I was more than gutted on that looooong drive home when I should have had a smile from ear to ear from all the positive reviews I've read over the years and the months of planning and costs involved in the whole thing. I was even more disappointed when my emails about it over the following few weeks weren't getting any response when asking for help investigating the main issue of cutting out and another new issue that started by the time I got home with erratic idle. I wasn't in anyway an irate customer in my emails leading to being ignored, I was thanking him for what had been done and saying how nice it was to meet them both, and asking for some assistance on the work that wasn't carried out and some clarification on what else hadn't been done from the list supplied when booking it in. It's taken the shine off the zed for now to be honest as I don't know who I can trust with it as I thought I was going to the best in the community and I've hardly been on the forum since start of April when I picked it back up due to this experience, I used to be on here a couple of times a day and would read every new thread, lucky if I check in once or twice a month now...I was a bit scunnered by the whole experience after paying to transport the zed 300 miles, flying down to pick up etc - the bill from zedworld was more than reasonable at around half what I set aside for the work (mainly due to the number of jobs not completed I guess) but I could have had the work done locally without transportation and flight costs and could at least have taken it back to somewhere local if I wasn't happy with the finished job which wasn't so simple when 300 mile trip each way is required to rectify any outstanding issues and with the car not feeling safe due to the cutting out a transporter and flights would have been required again...despite passing a paid for inspection as part of the job (I at least expected an unprompted offer of a refund on that inspection since it didn't throw up an existing issue that was actually on the to do list rather than being ignored for weeks when requesting further help) and have been considering selling up since then. I've since sorted some of the incomplete work and I'll use it for the summer and take it from there but just this week something has given way on driftworks front suspension arms (been fitted for a year and covered less than 1000 miles) and then today the starter worked itself loose and cracked where one of the bolts attaches...that too was fitted only a year ago, albeit second hand, all I can think there is that it must not have been bolted up tight enough to start with allowing one to work loose and then putting too much strain on the mounting position for the other one - that was done locally a year ago by a motorsport 'specialist' so I'm running out of options on who to get to work on my zed in future, hopefully not done any damage getting it going with the one bolt tightened back up and a mate supporting it with a rubber hammer while I cranked it but it made a hell of a noise when starting it up to nurse it home so knowing my luck I'll have damaged the flywheel :bored: PS I'm not writing this expecting some sort of response or apology from zedworld but just thought I'd share my own personal experience. Based on the years worth of reviews I've read during my time on here I was 100% sure I would be getting my zed back in tip top shape, so much so that I spent my own time building a new mobile friendly website (plus carried out user testing on the old and new one to show the reduced time to find info etc) which I offered free of charge to replace the old one that was dated and didn't work on mobiles and I was happy to do that because I had already benefited from advice and help articles published in the past and thought I was getting my baby back in top condition for the sunny months.
  6. I've just realised my brother is getting married on 28th June! :gun_bandana:
  7. Under the steering wheel I'm sure mate
  8. I'd be up for this Alan, give this a bump nearer the time as a wee reminder :thumbup1:
  9. I concur! I was 17 and driving a 1 litre fiat uno as my first car but treated it like an uno turbo. Was playing football when I was about 18 with some folk I recognised from my area but didn't personally know, one of them introduced himself and said "you're that guy with the wee fiat that doesn't slow down for corners aren't you?" Luck saw me last 4 years before my first crash and changed my driving style / attitude. I still know how to get a buzz out of driving my zed, but in a safe manner these days now that I'm part of the 30+ club. You can always tell a white lie if you're arranging the insurance as well and say that you will be getting a monthly highlight report by email of top speed etc since it was your card that paid for the policy hahaha properly put the fear up the youngsters!
  10. Just in case you haven't ordered anywhere else mate, a set of ultralites in the spec you're after just came up on driftworks for 55 delivered http://www.driftworks.com/forum/parts-sale-private-sales/220253-25mm-ultralite-bolt-spacers-5x114-3-55-posted.html
