headlights
Blimey the link is nearly £100.00, I would chance the ebay ones every time at £25.00, not sure it is even a 'chance', as you get slim ballasts and more powerful 55w units, all kits no doubt will have their origins in China anyway. I bought my first kit well over two years ago from HK and still going strong, I think they were £28.00 back then

front fogs converted from/ into supplementary dipped beam lights.
We could say you didn't give full details of what you was proposing  If you want a low wattage H3 bulb I would recommend something like these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-White-Vehicle-SMD-9-LED-H3-Light-Headlight-Fog-Bulb-/271032991219?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f1ad33df3 I have some in on my sig pic and they do look nice and white, however they do not give off much of a beam so sound like ideal for what you're looking for...a sidelight H3 :thumbup1:

Anyone know what these are?
Mine with it being a slicktop are just one piece and I regret disturbing and removing mine as I cannot get them to go back as they were, so if I was you mask up. It's never going to be ready is it :thumbup1: ......really !!!! Some great work going on there Lee - you cannot beat ticking the jobs off the list

front fogs converted from/ into supplementary dipped beam lights.
Might have to wait for a tester to come on and confirm that Lee, could well be a new 'grey area', with the advent these days of every car having DRL's, thinking a pull from plod might not happen as it perhaps would of 5 years ago without fail :glare:

front fogs converted from/ into supplementary dipped beam lights.
Surely what you want is obtained with a push down on the pod fog light switch  Therefore a turn on the headlight dial will do nothing as these are already on, position 2 will turn on your dipped  If you wire them in with your sidelights you will lose control/options - don't see why it will be a MOT fail

central locking
No, passenger door lock just does that door. I never use the key to unlock - the alarm zapper does that job

Starting to get a little excited now!!!
Having had door card and many interior panels off for a while now, I have started to put things back. I have done a door mirror mod, please view that thread here at post 43 http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?159850-Auto-fold-mirror-module&p=1664122#post1664122 I now have a 56mm rad and having had the 'SLICKTOP' plate a while now from TwinTurboRich - I fitted and it lights up green with the lights although the pic does not show the colour too well. I also had a turbo timer on the shelf that I obtained to match the profec, again lit up in blue this time, Rich made this din plate also to my exact remit  Further info on the engine work superbly done by Lee Dent will be following - thank you sir

Auto fold mirror module
I would recommend to all if you want this feature to buy the module ebay linked by Dave Brock, I bought one months ago and finally got round to getting it fitted - here is the link again http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290606906792?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_3030wt_977 If it doesn't work for whatever reason into the future just search using words such like, auto, mirror, fold and folding. I have fit mine and I am going to tell you which coloured wire goes where, this is the four wires connected at the switch - quite self explanatory these. FYI, instructions are included with the module. In this next pic you can see the four shooting off that go the switch itself, that leaves the 5 wires still to connect and these head towards the in-line fuse and away out of shot. Yellow wire needs to go to 'acc on' or ignition live, the red to a permanent live, the black to ground. That leaves two wires, Green and Blue, these are your trigger wires, on mine these are joined together and go to the window closure module that is linked to my alarm. Now this is what it does :- The mirror switch does still work manually, so you still maintain full cabin control. If the mirror switch is left in any position, I just need to leave the vehicle, press and hold down my fob alarm button and the mirrors fold in (the windows will also lift at this point if there were down). It is only the holding down on my fob that triggers the window lift and mirror fold, one quick press on the fob will just lock the doors and alarm the vehicle. I actually leave the mirror switch in the central position as there is no need for me to have it anywhere else. With mirrors having been folded in the night before, I turn alarm off with the fob which is one quick press and not a press and hold down, of course this opens the doors also, as soon as I turn the key to the 'acc' position the mirrors fold out  You can have the module located near the radio console clock - plenty of room here and no wires need extending. It works exactly as I wanted it to with 100% control and would recommend to all.

flare location on an import?
People may diss the flare but on closer examination - stamped on mine is Nov 1994, another original part that belongs with the car
