Dump valve question
Hi all, I have my blitz bov's on hard pipes but i have noticed that my recircs are also connected. I have the vacum line coming out of the manifold it then has a y piece which splits, one going to the dump valve and the other going to the recirc. Would i be able to get rid of the y piece and just have the line going from the manifold straigt to the dump valve? and just leave the old recircs in place... bearing in mind that the diaphram on the old recircs will only allow air out under load... no load no air leak ? so will they be able to stay in situ ? Thanks. Dan.

Suspension setting up..and stuff !
Hi folks, Does any body know of anyone that can do my tracking / suspension geometry / camber etc. ( in the bucks area ) I have noticed that my nearside rear is wearing on the inside, I dont really want to take it to some kwik fit monkey tbh...... apologies if you work at kwik fit :hang: Its got adjustable coilovers on the rear... but i think thats it! is there ay way of then adjusting the camber on a stock set up? or will i need some kind upgraded part to get the wheels to sit corectly? ... not sure on suspension parts much..but all i do know is, is that i eventually want adjustable evrything.

Improving your short / quick shifter
Hi folks, The other day i was looking on the site, trying to find out if anyone else had issues with their short shifter being stiff and awkward to use. Finding that other had... but with no real answer to sorting it, i pulled mine and had a fiddle. The nylon bushes are quite plainly............CRAP ! so. I got some fine wet n dry and just gave the metal shaft a quick once over :thumbup1: to remove any build up. I then used a mix of both vaseline ( this is a help thread.... honest ! ) and silicone spray and reinstalled the bushes back into the shifter and put it all together. Its 100 % better little effort is needed to engage gears yet it feels ( chunky ) to shift. It took about half an hour all in all and is a free improvement. Dan

Hi Folks, the lunch box has landed !
For now i am happy with the power but will possibly jet it... after checking the condition of the turbo's but at the moment i am wanting to repair the front bumper. crack on the side you cant see and possibly change the skirts.. you do the ones i like. Also looking to sort the engine bay out as its a bit dirty... i have plans for it but need a second set of rocker covers etc. Have you had your motor long?

Hi Folks, the lunch box has landed !
After i blew the engine in it i had it rebuilt , shite loads of pony power and torque which was fun but 22 miles ( work and back ) was costing me a tenner a day. on a long run it was returning around 22 to the gallon, 12 in town and 7 if i was hoofing it. so i am saving a bit

Hi Folks, the lunch box has landed !
well mine isnt poorly now, i bought it knowing it had a dead clutch, runs absolutely lovely. Craig was more against it as he thought it was copying.......trust me its the only time he will ever be anything close to a trend setter lol.. I bought it as a sensible option to be honest. Between me and the missus we had 3 cars, a smart roadster, a pug 106 and the vette. so getting the z allowed us to get rid of the pug as the run about and i sold the vette to clear some cards and buy the z in the 1st place as my daily driver....money saving exercise really. The vette

Hi Folks, the lunch box has landed !
since november...... me and a friend went and got it from scotland.. bought it with a nackered clutch....low loadered it to z centre....2 weeks later the clutch fork snapped... thought it was the slave cylinder, fitted a new one and it popped, i got angry and slammed the door and then the window shattered.....So your typical jap motor lol.
