I had the exact same problem with my HICAS when I changed to an aftermarket steering wheel. It became a real pain to sort, so in the end I just binned it and bought one of Dan's eliminator bars :)

You can not have smaller size plates on imports if the standard size UK will physically fit. The fact it is an import makes no difference in the eyes of the law !! 3/4 size plates are not legal - I know this to my cost !! You need to have: Character Height 79mm Character Width 50mm Letter l or 1 14mm Space between characters 11mm Space between groups 33mm Top, bottom and side margins 11mm Space between vertical lines 19mm
