Hi Joel, I bought my brand new one through my main dealer and is cost me a little over £1500. Took 4 weeks to arrive though! With regards to import tax, I believe they add 17.5% to the total value of the goods, then add a 'handling' fee - which usually works out about £30. So the £1364 suddenly becomes £1633(ish) !! Regards Simon

1K posts and babies! :)
Many words - just said all too slowly :) Unfortunately, long gone are the days when I had forum access at work which they blocked ages ago now. It was about five years ago work blocked MSN too, which put a stop to all-day banter with other members here. :( Harvey is 2.5 now and into everything!! Oliver is a week old today! Petey: yep, still got the zed - Although it's waiting for new brake lines and a sump repair. Really hope to get it running again soon though, since I've still never been to any of our meetings or JAE yet! And I know I'm missing out! Si

Cramped engine bays
Well done me!! ;) I've rewarded myself with a thread dedicated to this momentous occasion :D

1K posts and babies! :)
1000 posts! Its taken long enough though!! Six years in fact! Perhaps I should start my own whoring threads like Duffer and the other usual suspects, and get the next 1000 within a month! :) In fact, I was hoping to get some time to peruse the forum during the week since I'm on Paternity leave at present, but I keep finding other jobs to do! Me and my boys: Si.

Cramped engine bays
We all the know the Z engine bay is pretty tight - putting your hand in to work anywhere results in a noise similar to a McDonalds straw being inserted through the plastic drinks lid! Anyway, saw this GTO on eBay a thought it looked even more difficult to work on than the Z! (The engine also looks 'off centre' compared to the Z!) So, apart from 300's and this GTO, are there any other contenders for the 'most cramped engine bay' prize? Si.

Strange Nissan on eBay...
Well spotted that man! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Cima Seems Nissan made a couple of V8s and a VG30DET (single turbo) variant as well! Simon.

Not keen on the 350z but this is stunning.
Lovely example of a 350.... however, the sellers little quote suggesting a plenum will add and extra 50 rwhp is, *ahem*, bo11ocks (IMO).

someone up there is looking out for me.. ...
Sounds like one (of the two?) one-way valves have gone in your vacuum piping. Just a thought Hunniepie, did your foot just drop to the floor, or did the pedal just feel solid? If it dropped to the floor you might have dirt in your master cylinder, or a split brake line. If it felt solid, then there was no vacuum assist. Hope this helps! Si.

Money robbing ba5tards - eMusic.co.uk
I've been a subscriber to eMusic.co.uk for a few months now. For £8.99 a month you get 40 downloads which suits my level of downloading fine. However, since moving house a few months ago, I've been a bit busy with house related things, especially with our second child due in 3 weeks! But tonight I thought I'd log in and have a download session. I figured I should have accumulated about 120-odd downloads but find I have only 23!! WFT, so started looking through the FAQ, it turns out "your downloads don't roll over from month to month" - robbing *******s!! Now, to be honest, I can't remember if I read all the small print but I usually do when it comes to tapping my card details into an online service. Still, the way I see it: it's deliberate theft! I'm sure they're making a packet out of their subscriber base! So I'll be cancelling my account ASAP!! Think I'll stick with Napster, who only charge you for every track you download - i.e no subscription. eMusic - :xxx: Simon.

Fooked About By Orange Broadband
TalkTalk was a nightmare for us too for a while - but since they bought AOL the hope is they'll get better! BUT... that's not going to shift their 200,000 end user backlog of people who are still waiting to be signed up! Simon.

taking over a thread
Ah yes, but did you see Eastenders tonight? :smw: StellaZ - good point, it does for the rest of us make for difficult reading, and at worst, lose interest in the thread! Simon.

ISP Recommendations
I can add to the bit about TalkTalk: - No sign of any traffic shaping (i.e no throttling of p2p etc) - MAX connection is good (I get 6.5Mb /Sec usually) - Very cheap when bundled with a phone line - (although similar price to Orange, Pipex etc) However, the very large downsides are the frequent disconnects, the occasional but very annoying down times, and exceptionally bad customer service! My perception is, if you're not too worried about price then stick to a reliable brand of broadband. If on the other hand you're out to save a few extra pennies like I was, then I think we're going to get a Tesco's "value" service, especially on the off-shored customer service front. However, I hope that things will get better in the long run as competition hots up. Si.

new rocky film..
Jay Leno said: "Who's he fighting this time then huh? Incontinence?" Which made me smile, so I'm glad the film sounds (well on the account of one person so far) to be a good one! Happy crimble :duffer: :duffer: Simon.

New Motoring Offences - your suggestions, please
