i would think you must be able to get 6K for the car all day long,i would have guessed more around the 8k mark for it,at 6K i'd say it was a bargain considering the work you have put in it,good luck with what ever you decide to do bud. Paul

surely a few have fallen victim to buying a non turbo,the general public think it only comes as a twin turbo and if you add to that somebody who has no clue about cars it must happen(waits for someone to join up saying "somebody stole my turbo's) lol Paul

sorry bud,i'm no further forward than you,whenever i ask someone to have a look it wont do it :headvswal ,mine also does it regardless of fuel level,it may have been recently raining or just been washed when it does it though and i dont have a splashguard under my induction kit? hope you find the cure Paul

hi,i had a SWB manual na that used to perform exactly the same as my mates 306 gti-6,from any speed they were exactly the same,except he pulled away slightly above 100 :confused: if i remember rightly the 306 does 0-60 in around 7.2? HTH Paul

i raced one of these on sunday dave,it really was a case of who got the reaction first,i was at no time was i ever pulling away anymore than half a car length,i was shocked at how what seemed like a tame family saloon suddenly turned into a snarling beast from hell,if they put that engine into something less than 1800kg we are in trouble,i looked up the stats on them and its 0-60 4.1 and even more impressive is 0-100 in 8.6. hi kev,yeah petrolhead adjusted the clutch pedal up a bit and its not slipped yet,i also had a boost leak when i was last up at crail too,i though my standard boost gauge had broken as it was staying in the middle but it turned out to be a big boost leak,lol Paul

i think i'm the only one who is happy about that magazine article,i'm sick to the back teeth of these people buying a zed for 2k and then slating them because they bought a banger,the zed has reached the age(as do any cars)where they are cheap to buy and as usual the wannabe supercar owners come along who cant afford(or dont want to pay for)simple maintenance jobs,so in turn slate the car when it breaks. Paul edit:i have the upper most respect for the likes of bird who bought a cheap bad zed and has fought any problem that has come up to make it(which i believe it will be) a good car.

hi legrath,this was on my old car running standard boost,only mods were an apexi filter,blow off valves and a custom made exhaust running 9.5psi iirc. sorry bird they only gave me an at the wheels figure Paul

with the same mods on my old car i put out 281.7bhp at the rear wheels HTH Paul

i thought that too,but its fueling ok,and i only need the stock ones to last for a few months anyway :x: Paul
